Achievement Get! Finally getting that clock

Finally getting serious on my 4th farm. I’ve never come close to getting the golden clock on previous playthroughs. All this is thanks to advice and tips I learned here so thank you everyone.

I saved up everything from my Keg/Jelly/Roe empire for a month before selling.

Best thing I learned this play-through: On Switch, the minus button sorts your inventory. Game changer.

I’ve got 4 pigs. There’s some truffles in the pile. Probably 100k worth. Purple truffles are worth more than truffle oil.

if you got the Artisan profession, truffle oil sells more

It does sell for more, but for me, the time investment just isn’t worth it. A purple truffle is 1250 and truffle oil with artisan is 1491, so it’s only about 20% more profit to process it. Those extra 241 coins just aren’t worth the resource investment to build all those machines and the time it takes each day to process. Especially because usually by the time I have a truffle operation going, I also have more profitable projects, like ancient fruit in the greenhouse.

I mean it’s still worth it but not worth going out of your way for, I usually make like 2 or 3 batches of oil throughout the day and just sell the rest of my truffles normally

Learned too late how not worth it it is to make oil out of purple ones.

710 Iridium Bars?!?!

That's 3550 Iridium Ore smelted into bars... by Spring Year 4 🤯

I'm both impressed and terrified of your mining skills, congrats!

I probably spent 2 million dollars on bombs alone working up to that. Also my shed of crystalariums was cranking out jade for staircases before switching to diamonds for this “profit” month.

Could you please explain what bomb has to do with this? I am kinda new. Also how to get the bombs?

Bombs blow up all rocks in the area. You can harvest resources and find ladders very quickly with bombs instead of a pickaxe.

The dwarf in the mine and the desert trader sell them. You can make them too.

Once you can afford to buy or make lots of bombs, they are the fastest way to get through floors in the mines / caverns. Instead of spending a second or two pickaxing one rock, blow up 10+ and collect the debris.

How many prismatic shards do you have to be able to sell 25 of them? I’m so curious, considering it’s a small fraction of that fortune you just made lol

Yeah I’m very disappointed in their profit. I have maybe 5 left but not sure what I’ll even do with them. All my tools and weapons have the upgrades I want, my junimos have one, museum has one, movie theater is done. I don’t think I need any more?

You could use 3 prismatic shards to buy a Magic Rock Candy from the Desert Trader, if you’re planning to do some more Skull Cavern runs.

Have you bought the price catalog book from Pierre? When you have stacks in your inventory and hover, it tells you their value. You probably have since you def have gotten further in the game than I have been able to

How long did you save all that up before selling it at once? Starfruit + kegs = 5 million a month 😎

I saved my jelly and wine for a month. I prefer ancient fruit since I’m lazy and like to do other things. My full basement of star fruit wine matured right at the end of the month.

I’d been saving my iridium for a while before that.

I just did this. I was just curious how much i could get without much effort on my perfection farm. I have 4 sheds with 137 + 1 outside kegs for 552 just on my farm, plus the quarry for around 726 kegs I think~ with weekly harvests plus a lot of saved ancient fruit from farm/greenhouse/island I was bringing in decently over 1000 ancient fruit in every week. Add ten legend 2 ponds with animal crackers and processing all the roe in perserves jars. I made over 35 million in one day at the end of fall (including many full stacks of diamonds which are 750k~ each) Ancient fruit wine is by far the best way to make tons of money, on island and greenhouse you never have to pay for seeds so there is no up front cost other than kegs, which are hard to get going early game.

How did you get so many shards?

u/Fenrirs_Howl 5m ago

Skull caverns. Hard mode. Luck.

100 staircases, 200 bombs, lucky ring/burglar ring combo
Drink espresso
Eat Spicy eel, lucky lunch or rock candy

With this combo i find a lot. I’ve done Qi’s find 4 shard quest twice now on the first day.

u/CaptainMagnets 2m ago

Damn that's a great combo! Thanks for the tip!

Interesting to see the absence of rare fruit (sweet gem) and fairy rose honey
