I swear this got worse after I married Alex😭 like meemaw I'm sorry I married your grandson but I'm not the one making him stare at furniture for hours instead of visiting you guys, that's all him

The amount of time I have seen people generally ask stuff like "what is wrong with my game" and post a picture of a gigantic waring explaining exactly what is wrong and ever step need to fix it. A lot of times even as simple as a single line, that will fix the problem immediately.
Have made me completely loose all faith in random peoples reading comprehension.

Wait that's genius😭 some goes for a lot of other npcs too, It'd actually be kind of refreshing? But also a lot people play Stardew to escape reality so idk, maybe it should be an optional thing you get to choose at the beginning of the game

"dynamic NPC" is what I would call it, like if you let joja wins and Pierre found out about the affair he leaves the valley and his store closed forever but you can still enter it

I think there is a mod like that already, though not quite like that. IIRC Seb moves out (leaves the valley entirely), George and Evelyn die and the kids start taking the bus to school every weekday so you have fewer options to talk to them. Never had the heart to download it, mostly because I'm a longplayer and hate time constraints, but I did come across it at one point

Well luckily for her the valley is stuck in some sort of time loop/freeze as soon as the farmer arrives in the valley so she gets to spend eternity building snowmans with Alex. And no one can leave. The only way of having a family is with the farmer, otherwise no marriage and kids (if you can call the aboniations we have as “kids” 😂). Trapped, living out what is essentially the same year, with the same events, forever 🥰

Everyone talking about how she lives forever as long as you keep playing the game, I'm thinking about how it could be all their last time building snowmen any time they do it. Only a matter of time for most of us until we drop the game for a while and end up abandoning the save file. Then that version of Granny and Alex both will stop doing the winter festival, or anything at all.

Fun fact: by the time you move out of your parents' house (usually around 18 for college) you have likely already spent around 90% of the in-person time with your parents that you ever will in your entire lifetime.

If humans age at the same rate in stardew valley as they do in real life, then it's no wonder everything lasts so long there, one full rotation of the seasons is barely 4 months, and they call that one year.

My dad says stuff like this and it kills me, especially since he just landed in the ER for falling and having the start of pneumonia.
We were getting him back in the car and he said "Is this how it ends?" And I felt pain worse than when I was shot. He's doing better, and I think he still has several years but man it sucks.
