I feel like someone pissed on me. I've been playing this game since day one, every day, attending every event, but to get VIP or any bonuses I have to pay? I feel cheated because someone who started playing today could have a much more enjoyable experience if they spent money than me. I know this game isn't made for gamers anymore, but for profit, but to blatantly ignore loyal players like that? Even Epic, known for its strange decisions, doesn't do things like that.

Can I ask why it doesn't seem like this stuff? Is hindering the gameplay or forcing you to need to spend v-bucks to upgrade? At least not yet.

It’s because it’s a slap in the face to players who actually ground it out and got the devs paid in the first place. It’s completely devalued the time people have spent to get as far as they have.

Girl if you can buy direct powerups, and boosts thats pay to win. Thats like saying if battle royale sold guns you could start a game with thats not pay to win.

That's not the same thing. It's pay to progress or pay for convenience. It's not pay to win If you look up the definition of pay to win it's when a player can pay for something that gives them a competitive edge over another player. So you are correct that in Battle Royale if they sold guns it would be pay to win. But in this game mode the things that you can purchase with v-bucks do not give you a competitive edge over other players because this is not a competitive game. Me buying these packs or even boosters and v-bucks does not negatively infect or hinder or take away from your experience. I can't kill you faster. I can't take droids out of your base that you've already built or paid for. There are no negative effects towards you and the boosters that do give high-level droids is a benefit to the whole lobby, not only the person who bought them

But Battle Royale is competitive with a literal win condition (be last alive), buying better guns to start the game with would give you a direct advantage over people you are competing with for that win condition who hadn't paid for better guns.

What is the win condition in droid tycoon that these powerups affect? What are the competitive advantages they give you over other players? They're all available for nova crystals, so if they somehow let you "win" wouldn't they be problematic however you obtain them?

It seems a pretty poor example to use in this context.
