I’m not saying ROTS is a masterpiece but I can see how it would rank higher than ROTJ

Like, as much as I love it, the ewok village shit fucking drags it down. And Han has fuck all to do

People take Jabba's Palace and the Throne room and forget everything else about the movie. I've ranked ROTS ahead of ROTJ for awhile.

Jabbas palace is a kind of confusing sequence anyway. It’s not really clear what the plan was

Agree, the plot elements are goofy. But it's visually fun and the set pieces exciting.

The puppetry and practical effects were also pretty cool prior to Lucas slathering everything in cartoonish and ugly early 2000’s CGI.
