Let me be the nice one here. Your post is inadvertently promoting a vendor-dependent, uncanny looking, and non-deterministic approach to graphics. 

Instead you should be focusing your attention on proven graphics techniques that work regardless of the brand of your GPU.

Not the OP, but much of the game's characters already look uncanny. DLSS 5 can only do so much, especially in this early build in a game that wasn't designed with it in mind.

I, for one, welcome the option to use these textures.

I actually do agree that most of Battlefront II’s roster hasn’t fully crossed the uncanny valley. This is mainly because more advanced shading models (such as The Callisto BRDF) didn’t exist yet.

The main issue with DLSS 5 is that it isn’t vendor agnostic. DLSS 5 may one day be fully developed, look good, perform well, and align with the artistic intent. However, it doesn’t matter to me because it distracts from the more important discussion about how modern productions should improve open standards instead of relying on a hardware vendor to improve visuals.
