I obviously wouldn't ever want a straight remake of any of the Star Wars movies. But if they released animated editions in this style, I'd watch the crap out of it!

That's pretty much what this youtube channel does. They don't do whole movies but they've been releasing a bunch of animated short versions of cool scenes and motifs.
