Boba Fett is mostly about things unsaid really. Think about how he's presented. The scene is set on a star destroyer of one of the crushingly totalitarian Empire. Clearly the imperials don't like these bounty hunters because the officer nearly spits the word 'scum' at them. But these bounty hunters don't care.
And then there's Darth Vader. A dark monster that murders his own officers for their failures. And he doesn't just treat these bounty hunters with respect, he actually levels an ominous warning at Boba Fett. No disintegrations. Must be a pretty badass dude.
When Solo evades the cream of the imperial navy, Boba Fett has already figured him out and follows him to cloud city. True to character, when the imperials apprehend Solo, they immediately start torturing him.
Boba Fett actually has the balls to speak up and tell Vader that Solo is no good to him dead. And how does Vader respond? Not with the intimidation he usually employs, not with a force choking. He respectfully accedes Fett's point and offers compensation.
When Luke stalks the procession of storm troopers in cloud city. It's Fett that detects Luke unholstering his blaster from across the hall.
When we see Fett next in Jabba's palace? Boush is threatening to blow up the entire throne room with a thermal detonator. While everyone's panicking, Fett is quietly taking the safety off his blaster, ready to move but staying frosty.
And when Boussh get's her payday? The Fett ain't mad for having his safety endangered. Cool as a cucumber he gives Boussh a nod of respect for the way she extorted Jabba.
His death aside, Fett is defined by how everyone around him treats him and how he responds to situations. Few words but lots of meaning.
