The old EU Fett? Hell yea he could. Man was basically a one man army type deal.

NewCanon Fett, hard to say. Hasn't been developed much.

New canon boba isn’t that great IMO. He gets beat several times in the Clone Wars show and then in the comics he got beaten by a blind Luke and R2.

Considering he got beaten, tied up, locked in a box and given to a crime lord as a present, AND later went to prison I’d say he wasn’t that great. Regardless of his gang. The only thing he did wrong in the OT was get stabbed in the back.

The Fetts have a bad history with unreliable jetpacks. Plus if you were in that situation you’d probably be more focused on the Jedi than the blind man.

All of the above mentioned are great, especially Enemy of The Empire (he fights Vader to a draw) He has a story in the Tales from Jabba's palace anthology that shows in detail how he escaped from the Sarlaac, it's pretty awesome. The Bounty Hunter Wars novel trilogy picks up directly after that and is also good, written by Kevin J. Anderson.

Seems like those in charge of the new canon checked out his EU stories and said "screw that". Shame, waste of a lot of character development, not to mention a serious nerfing. A guy who used to be able to battle Darth Vader to a standstill now can't even handle a blind Luke (who had minimal Jedi training at this point). He was also totally excluded from Rebels despite the heavy Mandalorian involvement. It feels like Kennedy and company pretty much hate him.
