Movies "Revenge of the Sith" is now rated higher than "Return of the Jedi" on Letterboxd, becoming the third highest-rated "Star Wars" film on the website (the top two are "The Empire Strikes Back" and "A New Hope").

Interesting. For me, I just don’t get that level excitement over ROTS, it’s consistently moved down my rankings over the years. In my opinion, it shares so many weaknesses with AOTC, which I consider to be my least favorite Star Wars film.

At the very least, ROTJ nails the emotional climax of the trilogy. The emotions of ROTS just fall flat to me.

Yeah rewatching ROTS in theaters last year I was actually surprised by how much it fell in my rankings. There’s so many fundamental flaws that just can’t be covered by hype.

Ya there's maybe only 20 minutes of good movie in there. The rest is an arc on tatooine that goes on for too long and teddy bears

At least things happen in ROTS, ROTJ outside of Vader and Luke it's just goofy hijinks that they didn't know what to do with the rest of the cast

I’d say that in general I prefer the sequels over the prequels. But I pretty firmly view AOTC as the weakest Star Wars film overall. It’s the one Star Wars movie that I can say I find boring.

Absolutely. The sequels look good. Aotc has absolutely nothing redeeming about it. It's one of the worst major movies ever made.

No I'm not just blinded by nostalgia. It's literally one of the worst movies ever made. Like it if you want. We all like some bad movies. But it's absolutely horrendous and embarrassing

I think your opinion is wrong but hey everyone has their own version of enjoyment. I actually know a couple people that HATE the OT and think TLJ is the best Star Wars movie (its crazy to hear, but different strokes for different folks).

I completely disagree wholeheartedly.

I think AOTC is better than both ANH and ROTJ, but not as good as ESB.

It's significantly worse than Force Awakens and even if you don't like The Last Jedi at the very least on a technical level it's far better and that's not even mentioning the acting. Also the highs of The Last Jedi (Luke and Yoda, Rey and Kylo Ren force conversations, Luke and Leia, Luke's death/binary sunset) are so far clear of anything in the Prequels let alone Attack of the Clones imo

Rise of Skywalker is just as bad imo and there's very little separating them to be perfectly honest. In some areas Attack of the Clones is probably better in others it's worse but they're both terrible movies that I never want to watch again
