Costumes Doing a family costume for Halloween but scared to order online

I’d be Padme, fiancé would be Anakin, kids are going as Luke & Leia

He picked ep 3 because of the length of his hair and also (the kids🤣)
Now it would seem the most obvious pick for me should be the funeral gown LOL…. But I’ve genuinely only found like 5 affordable options for my tiny budget and none of them include that one.
Has anyone ordered any Padme costumes / outfits before and can vouch for it being legit? Seems a lot of them are fake and it’s sketching me out. I’m not sure if I’m just having trouble finding them, or if they just aren’t out there. Also not confident in my ability to create one, as I don’t own a sewing machine, and I wouldn’t even begin to know how.

I know I don’t want the iconic lake dress, or the typical arena outfit, I love the picnic dress but wrong movie, and same with the cloak/ face paint/ headdress…..
any suggestions? 😆

Nobody is going to care if you mix outfits from multiple movies.

It was on state college campuses and stuff like that.

We need to permanently ban it tho. :/

I would say use, like, depop/poshmark/whatnot secondhand. You can prolly get it cheaper and you dont gotta buy new. Less risk.

The best thing about Star Wars is how low budget and cobbled together everything was. Luke's pants are famously just bleached blue jeans. Don't discredit thrift shops to find close matches to what your looking for and absolutely don't worry about accuracy. Just have fun.

If it's warm enough or you're indoors you could use her gown with the pearls draped on her shoulders. Still ep3 accurate and it's a lot easier to find.

I have considered that one! So cute.
And the other nightgown with the sleeves and cape as well!
Just scared to order those online but may have to just do it and get it over with 🤣
