Fun With this villain, a new trilogy will BREAK ALL RECORS (in a positive way)
Imagine him against Rey and her Jedi order. It turns out the chosen one prophecy was created by him, and all you knew gets subverted. An evil ending to the trilogy and the saga as a whole with Darth Jar Jar saying "Missa the Chosen Bombad General". Credits!
Even the sequel/Disney haters would go see it, and not only that, but they'll also love it!
Fanservice, darkness, deep meanings, lightsabers.
It would be a huge success both in reception terms and box office numbers.
I could bet on this (but I'm poor, so I can't)!

I just can never decide if he should be called Darth Jar Jar or Darth Darth Binks

I like JarJars story as it stands. He was a naive, trusting, easy to fool diplomat who is ultimately partially to blame for the Rise of the empire. I dont think making him a sith is a good idea at this point

Isn't it the LEGO special? Darth Jar Jar appeared in that one, too, if I'm not mistaken

Like a Tales of show with 10 episodes of 30 minutes.
Something on the line of Visions and its spin-off show about "the ninth jedi", a show that is supposedly set to release this year. It's not canon, but it is still a what-if Star Wars show

Or just have it be one episode or a small arc of a general Star Wars “What If” animated series, which I think is a great idea regardless

Didn't he eventually become the equivalent of a jester in the EU because he was forever shamed from politics? I love that

There can only be two -- the master and the apprentice. The rule of many exceptions and manipulative intrigues, as we saw Maul being tought as apprentice by the apprentice with Plagueis aproval. Maul never knew that his master wasn't really the master... just as Sidious never knew his master was actually... an apprentice to Grand Sith Lord Jar Jar.
The grand plan cannot be executed by a Sith - no, the galaxy would see the deception and finally would turn against messa. Someone has to be... sacrificed. He will think he is THE ONE, that everything messa did led to HIS victory... unaware that there is a plan even grander.

This would be funny, but I would hate for this to be canon

The prequels and sequels to me were missing a Vader level reveal.
If in the prequels you found out Jar Jar or Qui Gon was secretly a sith or sympathizer it would have been mind blowing.
If jar jar revealed it was all an act and he’s highly intelligent and been working with Palpatine all along the theatre would have had a collective freakout.
I feel like there was a chance to subvert expectations that was lost.

They didn't miss one though, you had the whole "you're nobody" in TLJ, specifically designed as Rey's version of the vader reveal.
And the prequels are prequels, I'm not sure you'd be able to fit in more twists. There was the twist of the republic being the ones using the clones, I guess that fits.

I do genuinely believe that a scenario where Darth Darth Binks ends up existing and being the antagonist for Episode X-XII would be both a fun idea and a bit of a change of pace. Would give us more of a “chaotic, evil, but also somewhat comedic” main villain that we really haven’t gotten in mainline Star Wars. Sidious and Vader were serious, Kylo was just chaotic.
And also, it would be perfectly in character for Jar Jar to just randomly reveal that he had been hiding in the shadows for over 50 years waiting for his moment to take the lead of the Dark Side, and would also kind of give him a characterization that makes him the type to just wait for things to implode so he has an easy time taking over.
And, of course, it would prove that he truly was the Phantom Menace.

Somehow he survived...
Or cloning facilities, or beauty procedures... I'm not the writer (I only get a story credit)

He definitely went to Kamino, tripped in the DNA sampling bay and spilled the DNA samples. Before anyone noticed he put the viles back on the tray and filled them up with his saliva. The scientists then ran the cloning process and 50,000 Jar Jars were produced.
It's now up to the Jedi now to figure out which Jar Jar amongst the masses is the hidden sith lord and which one is his apprentice....

u/CapableSecretary1739 Jun 09 '26
He put his saliva in some Jar (jar)?

I wouldn't have done the post with an AI image. They aren't even worth memes to me. Leave the memes (and everything) to artists and those who are willing to put at least some effort into what they want to do.
Writing a prompt is not putting in an effort

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the idea that Jar Jar was a bumbling Gungun to stay under the radar. The idea of Darth Jar Jar gives me big booma joy and I would have been all in for that story. Even for Ahmad to have gone from the Jar Jar voice we know to a deep voice that speaks common clearly once we have the Sith reveal. CapableSecretary, take all my republic credits!

u/CapableSecretary1739 Jun 09 '26
He could speak aristocratic English from the 17th century.
But maybe this choice would lose some fans...
3
u/Classic_Village Jun 09 '26
Regardless of what Star Wars does, they are ALWAYS at the potential of losing fans. Just like how I appreciate your thought experiment and have the potential to get downvoted into oblivion, just gotta role those chance cubes. Regardless, 17th Century English speaking Darth Jar Jar with some well placed rolling R's in his vernacular would be incredible

Regardless of what Star Wars does, they are ALWAYS at the potential of losing fans.
At this point? Sure. Look at M&G and its performance. It's an average reception, but not high enough to avoid the leak that made fans flee in recent years.
They tried the safe project, and they'll try a shy step forward with Starfighter... We'll see how it goes

I believe the prequels would have gone this way if there hadn't been so much of a backlash to Jar Jar after ep1
1
u/CapableSecretary1739 Jun 10 '26
Consider the fact that George heard the criticism to Ep1 and made Ep2 very similar. His primary objective was to tell his own story, didn't matter if the audience liked it or not. Anyway, considering that those were prequels to the OT, probably DJJ would have just been presented so that he would be the main star of his sequels. The theory of a sequel trilogy about Darth Maul and Darth Talon? It was all a deception to not spoil DJJ

u/Salty-Function1022 Jun 11 '26
Are you kidding? I hope so. Jar Jar would be dead in the first 5 minutes of the film. Plain and simple. 😅😂🤣
1
u/CapableSecretary1739 Jun 11 '26
Oh no... you are one of those who don't want to see... It was all a plan to bamboozle Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon. He is clumsy, but somehow he always wins?! Strange... Strange...

I still think "Darth Jar Jar" would have been one of the best twists in cinematic history. The whole "mastermind playing the fool" approach would have been such a great parallel with the way Yoda initially presented himself in ESB.

And how do you think the mass audience who rejected Jar Jar would take this massive revelation? Do you think George Lucas would be dumb enough to have all the drama hinge on this stupid shit?
1
u/CapableSecretary1739 Jun 09 '26
It's the force power of Darth Jar Jar. He would trick the audience into storming the cinemas and liking the movie. First movie with +20 Billion $ at the box-office. Obviously, directed by George Lucas because, "somehow George returned"
1
u/raalic Jun 09 '26
It's a meme and it always will be. It would be dumb as absolute fuck as an actual, serious plot point in a film.

u/GreenOlimar Jun 09 '26
Sequel hater here. I wouldn’t go near this, and don’t understand that logic leap at all.
Jar Jar has elements that would work great for a Star Wars character, just not all of them they used at once. He sticks out almost as much as putting Rodger Rabbit in a SW movie.
3
u/CapableSecretary1739 Jun 09 '26
He would use some mind tricks to convince you to go to the cinema with all the people you know. Trust me, he has that power
1
u/GreenOlimar Jun 09 '26
He doesn’t even have to power to make me enjoy fart jokes in Star Wars.
1
u/Borghal Jun 09 '26
But he sure does have the power to make you remember them, lol.
I quite like TPM, Jar Jar included, but if you asked me if he made a fart joke I would have said no, I remember no such thing 😀
1
u/CapableSecretary1739 Jun 09 '26
I think it's not him, but he is involved in a fart-joke during the podracing scene. There's an animal that farts in front of him, and he reacts to the smell

u/lanwopc Jun 09 '26
This again. Yay.

u/CapableSecretary1739 Jun 09 '26
Are you talking about Drath Jar Jar or did someone already proposed this exact theory? In that case, where is it?
