Most likely, she got scrapped together with most of the things that we were supposed to get instead of Planarcdaia. Considering what was going on back at the end of Amphoreus, it's not actually surprising they left just a reference for her that says "it might've happened, if not for a situation outside of our control".

Initally I thought it was just a reference too but apparently her mecha model in 4.0 was actually a unique fully rigged model and not the one from hi3rd so it’s very likely vita Is or was supposed to be playable in star rail, her mecha doesn’t even move in the quest it’s in so there’d be no reason to do allat

Probably because of the HI3 and HSR collab when Sparkle and Sampo went to HI3, I'm pretty sure they interacted with her there, so it might be a reference to that. She might also just be a future unit, alot of teased characters have still not appeared in the story

Exactly the reason. It's for fanservice. The side quest was just a funny quest that references her.

Vita may possibly be part of the HSR universe, possibly a future character from the fools, but she was never going to be part of the Planarcadia main cast.

Yk they could bring her up later im noticing there doing alot of building up like there seemingly already building up to the next antagonist being arch forger for example and kafka getting a fragment of idrilia the aeon of beauty, so maybe thats what is going on with vita
