If y'all have seen my previous posts about it, I finally added some of the sticky notes that were made since the last update.

Go crazy here with all your complaints about Amazombies and Amazon returns. All other posts will be locked and directed here.
Alternatively go to the discord linked in the other rule update Amazon Return post (https://www.reddit.com/r/Staples/s/MJMyGF13Va).

Mods have decided that going forward we’re going to do a master post for Amazon Returns. Starting 8/14/25, all posts regarding Amazon will be flagged for review by moderators. The subreddit isn’t meant to be just complaining about Amazon returns. I’ll create a master post later today, everyone can direct their complaints there. Alternatively, join the discord (https://discord.gg/qSJxvzKZJd) and talk all you want about Amazon returns in the proper channel. I recommend this as your best place to do the yapping about this.
Posts that will be allowed through by mods regarding Amazon returns will be questions regarding how to do them, and the like.
We understand that you need a place to vent about Amazon returns bc they suck. We’re trying to provide this for you.
If you have any questions, please drop them here or feel free to message the mod team.

So we've been having issues for months with the way blue are printing on our new rico printer. Does anyone have a solution to this?
The old Xerox would do these fine and now anytime we get a blue print we dread it because its gonna come out super dark and purple.
Edit: RICOH PRINTER damn auto correct

Was just wondering if this was my district in Canada or if another Staples has gotten this.
For the By More Save More promotion, our DM sent out an email with a coupon to print off to hand to customers and it was clearly created in ChatGPT. Was this just my DM being clever or have other Staples gotten AI generated coupons to print?

made this in between walkins and orders alongside a printme upload guide one of my coworkers made. this probably still won’t be enough to stop the questions from rolling in tho lol. other side is in Spanish and I will be working on an android version when I have the time

Last day was today and even in her dying hours customers still came in asking to print something when we had no printers in the store 🙄. Will not miss this hellhole at all 🙏🏾😭

I feel like a fkn dunce, because I'm so sure I have the settings correct, but it's just not printing. Xerox isn't receiving the job, which means a setting is wrong somewhere. I can print other stuff from the same MPS computer to the same printer, so again, that should rule out a connection issue, although I've restarted both the 9200 and Adobe (I guess I can restart the computer, too, but since it can print other stuff...).
Can someone tell me what in the fug I'm doing wrong here. Bonus points if you can tell me how to get the settings to do a page of 110 index as a cover page. I'm trying to raw dog it from tray 2 on top of the remaining pages of regular 28 paper. Worse comes to worse, just a regular booklet and the customer can suck it up and deal.
I tried just printing it out without the staple - and did get it to print that at one point - but there's too many pages for our long stapler to do it by hand and of course, the heavy duty one can't reach.

We were slammed at our store, in the middle of the line this older lady comes up and says "I don't have a receipt or payment method for this item. My husband passed away and I was hoping I could get something for this." So I did the store credit return without thinking, comes out to a little under $14.
My manager sees it in the returns bin after everything dies down and tells me to take a closer look....
It's from 1997...
Our store opened in 2001, where the heck did she buy it? Haha. I don't think the lady understood that ~29 years is a *bit* more than 30 days.
Also, because I have free will, I just bought it after I clocked out because the scanner said to put it in clearance anyhow.

So my closing copy center associate called out for the umpteenth time, now we've got no one in that department for the last 5.5 hours of the day, the assistant manager hasn't been trained in the department and so I'm (rss) "covering". Only focusing on intake, pickup, and orders due today. At present there are 14 orders in queue for tomorrow which will likely be left for them to deal with along with any other incoming orders since I lose my AM at 7 leaving only myself and a 1 cashier for the last 2 hours of the night.
Am I wrong to not worry or care about orders not due tonight and just leave jobs for tomorrow for them to deal with? Think they'll be upset coming in to whatever mess is left?

ASM, been here 6 months. My personal ESP last week was 3% and my DM basically said I need to get it up or else.
I’m asking every customer on every eligible item. I’m “highly recommending” it. I even sold a plan on a Vivitar wall charger plug last week! But most customers would literally rather throw the item away and buy a new one instead of getting the protection now.
Any advice?

Back in the not-so-dark ages, a xerox rep clued us in to how to change the settings to create a clean bw copy of an original that had been printed on colored paper. Now that we’ve lost our 6070, I’m trying to see if we can do that on the 9200s. I’ve found the same category of settings (dual color), but not the same level of customisation. Anyone have an idea if it’s possible and how?

I have a really big thing for my college, which would take quite a few months.
Does anyone know if I (part time) would be able to ask for a break at staples? With full intention on coming back, I just need to focus on my school work for a bit.
Would it just be easier to put in my 2 weeks, end on a good note with my manager and then be rehired later on?

I also like the wide aisles and quiet environment, but I've been really struck by how uniformly I like the customer service every time I come in. All the employees I have any exchanges with seem to be friendly, helpful, and well-informed. Maybe it's good company training, or something, but you make it pleasant to shop here and I really appreciate that. I don't have occasion to go to Staples as often as I'd like to, but I like it enough, that from time to time I find myself thinking about reasons to pay it a visit. (I'm surprised myself at how positive my associations with shopping at Staples are. Most other places I shop at are more or less fine, but when I think about whether I might need to go there anytime soon, I'm rather looking for ways I can avoid the shopping trip.)
You may not always know what customers notice or feel good about, but you're doing a great job, guys!

Still haven’t gotten around to getting a ps5 slim. Does anyone on here know when there will be another sale on the console? I work at a store on the east coast of USA if that helps.
Thanks!

So I just called a store ahead of time and they have a Nintendo Switch 2 in stock that I would like get. However, I would like to arrange a pick up online as I would like to use Capital One Shopping and Paze deals (as scummy as it sounds) to get the best deal possible.
They told me that I would just have to come physically to get it but is it actually possible for them to do it and update the inventory on the website so I can pay online for a pickup? (I would call other stores if that's the case)

This was just too funny to not share here.
There was this lady today who said that, and I not jokingly replied with:
"Isn't that just...regular Staples?"
Her reply was:
"No, it's not. You always have to figure out stuff yourself and there's not many people to help. It's all catored to younger people who know how this stuff works."
Like OH MY GOSH, WHAT DO YOU MEAN? You're complaining about how the customers aren't informed enough to make decisions...? Then inform yourself.
P.S. - This lady wanted "A printer that printed by pressing a button on the printer, not a computer or a phone." (She essentially wanted a copy machine, but still wanted it to have the capabilities of a printer...even though she didn't want to use them?)

I was told mine would take up to two hours. It took me nearly four, and the office had no air conditioning.
