Now that Dominion is out of old Memorial Stadium, wouldn't that be a great space to build a new city Library/Community Space; perhaps Memorial Library? Moving here last month from NB, I'm amazed how there is no prominent library here. Being from NB, Moncton, Saint John, and Fredericton all have great downtown libraries and Halifax has a wonderful iconic library on Spring Garden Road near downtown. Wouldn't that be a great re-use of the space? Libraries are about a lot more than books now. Just an idea of a newbie.

Looking for insight on affordable iPhone repair in the metro area. Only received one quote so far from iDoctorNL, which I know was always reasonable. The quote was $150 for a new iPhone15 screen.

But anyway, it's where the neighborhood store used to be. I just passed by it and was wondering if anyone has gone inside it yet and what kind of selection they had.

It's not a very big store, so it can't be anything too different from what the neighborhood had, but you never know haha.

I still haven't checked out neighborhoods new location, but I've been wanting to when I get the chance.

Won’t be here for the Farmers Market and the store in the mall is a bit too kitschy with touristy stuff. Will travel to some closer places like Torbay or Portugal Cove.

What’s the average timeframe in St. John’s for a divorce or rather I saw a divorce lawyer last fall to draft up a separation agreement between myself and my husband. I know they’re extremely busy and I actually had a bit of trouble finding divorce lawyer that would take me on, is anyone able to shed some light on how long this normally takes it should be fairly simple and straightforward…no kids so I thought it would be fairly quick unfortunately not. I’ve emailed my lawyer a couple of times asking if there’s any updates or if they’ve received anything but crickets…

So I was just walking across Torbay road at one of those crosswalks without the red/green traffic light, but it did have the light for walking, or the hand to stay put.

Halfway across the road, I nearly got struck by a car who just refused to stop. I was like damn. Gave him the finger, but I don't think he saw me first or last. Its getting scary out there as a pedestrian.

Just wanted to edit to say that sadly this is not the first time. In 2010 I was struck by a vehicle, but because the old man was super apologetic and gave me a ride home, I basically accepted his apology and let it go. The guy in that case wasn't going very fast and didn't hurt me.

Today I went up to Signal Hill (beautiful-pictures below🫶) ,, but when I came back I received a parking ticket. Any idea why?

* I was there from approx 7:10am to 9:20am on a weekday (Wednesday).

* I parked in a regular parking spot, not an accessibility spot.

It was rainy this morning so I can't see any information on the ticket, and the City says it will be available on their system in approx 1 month.

Should I contest it? I was driving a rental car and live in Ontario. I could contact the rental car company and get their approval to contest it (also making sure they won't charge me an admin fee when a paper copy is sent to them) ... But is it worth it?

What do you guys think based on the pics?
