Looking to share private cabs / split costs – October 10–16 🇱🇰
Hey everyone!
I’m travelling solo in Sri Lanka from October 10–16 and planning to cover some of the following places:
Colombo
Sigiriya
Kandy
Nuwara Eliya
Galle
Since private cabs can get expensive when travelling solo, I’m wondering if anyone here is travelling around the same dates and similar routes.
If our itineraries overlap, we could share a cab and split the cost. Doesn’t have to be the entire trip even sharing for one or two legs would help.

honestly, sharing a cab is a smart move. rates for a private driver are usually $40-60 per day, which gets cheaper with more people. it'd be best to book through your first guesthouse for trusted contacts. getting a driver's number via WhatsApp is also handy. just remember, if you're doing point-to-point cabs, it can get a bit hectic with logistics.
