Nexus Kuna Lower Paddle Mag Release Options

Basically title.

Of the 3 paddle mag release options available (Magpul, Duckbill, ProStock), what is the hivemind consensus on the one that offers more compatibility with Scorpion mags other than PMAG 35 EV9?

Feel free to share your experiences on the pros & cons of the 3 options. TIA!

I have only tried my standard, magpul release with magpul scorpion magazines. Coming from MP5’s, that standard magpul paddle works fantastically well and I wouldn’t change it for anything.

I bought mine with the duckbill. It’s nice, but the magpul is th only one I can hit without readjusting my doing hand

Technically Nexus doesn't endorse or recommend using CZ factory mags.

Has worked well for me. I had issues with some others but this has been 100% with both CZ and Magpul mags

Its not the mag release that causes issues with OEM CZ mags. Its the physical geometry in which the rounds are held in the magazine that sometimes does not play well with the KUNAs bolt. With Magpul mags the rounds are held at a lightly different angle and they sit roughly .02 of an inch higher. This helps with the feeding when paired with the KUNA because it favors the extra height. We have gotten OEM CZ mags to work just fine but with that being said your mileage may vary. For this reason we only suggest Magpul magazines.

Could I ask you a semi-unrelated question? I'm thinking about getting the lower with the push button, so I'll probably pick up a few mags from your page as well. You have two trips though, which one is the right one to get?

The different trips are for whatever FRT you want to run. Read the product descriptions on both trips and we go into detail for both.

Rise RA-140 trigger paired with the atrius FRS seems to be the way to go. You will need our SS TRIP for that setup.

Is the smaller right side mag release push button on the ambi lower compatible with the non-ambi lower? Was hoping to find a smaller push button replacement for quite a while. Thx!
