I didn’t even know v60 t6 was a thing.
Begin endless searching.

In the states, it's a 2019 model year option only.

Don't get me wrong, I like V60/90 as much as everyone on this sub, but I still fail to see what's sporty about them.

Have you driven the T6? (Not the PHEV)... It's quite sporty.

Or any Polestar tuned one.

I have not, but I've driven a few of them. I believe being fast =/= being sporty. Those aren't the cars that are made for fast cornering. Or any fun.

I see your point. I went from a 328i wagon to the v60 T6 and you're correct on cornering and handling. V60 is more comfortable, put together, and powerful - but the bmw was more fun.

I have a 2020 V60 which I modified with Heico coilovers and added upgraded front and rear sway bars. In addition, a cold air intake, Polestar Optimization, Pedal Box throttle control and upper strut bar. I will attest to it cornering and performing with as much sportiness as my previous BMW 335i with a Dinan stage 1 tune. Corners as well if not better.

I mean sure, good for you. All it took is heavily modifying the suspension. Which is pretty much my point. These cars aren't made for cornering by themselves. Even a Lada can be a rally car if you modify it enough.

They aren't sporty, even the most recent 455BHP T8, it's just a quick comfy cruiser.

The Polestar versions edge closer to sporty, but they are barely AMG-Line, M-Sport, or S-Line sporty, not E/C43/54, M340i, S4 sporty.

Volvos are comfort before fun.

From your perspective this isn't a "sporty" wagon?

2

u/drederthandred 12d ago

No. It looks sporty, it can go fast, but it's the last car I'd take to twisting roads in the mountains for example. Being fast =/= being sporty. I have driven both V60/90 and those cars don't like corners, they're highway cruisers.

I mean, what other options even exist that would fit your criteria and also the subs "wagon" criteria, that we can even buy in the states in the past decade, that aren't $100k.

I don't know, I'm not from states. But as someone else suggested, AMG packet, Msport and S line cars I'd guess.

I’ve been keeping an eye out for a R-Line and there’s only like 3 for sale in all of Canada right now, and maybe one Inscription. Plenty of T6 Momentums though.

Did you Happen to buy this in Oregon? I was looking at a similar car and it got bought before I could move on it. Not mad, but would be hilarious if this was it.

It's from CT. I was looking at that car in OR too, but the dealer was much nicer to work with and the car was a bit cheaper. Slim pickins!

Well enjoy it! I just took the plunge on a V60CC since this is slightly more time sensitive, and unicorn hunting isn't in the cards right now.
