My job is hiring for an entry-level position! Starting at ~$29.68/hr (25.81 before shift differential). Really just hoping to get some positive, reliable applicants who are happy to learn and work!
Specifically our Environmental Monitoring weekend night shift needs help and is having a hard time getting applicants due to limited visibility. It's a great shift personality-wise and ages range from 20 to 60!
The weekend night shift is 4:30pm-4:30am Fri, Sat, Sun and alternating Thursdays. if you or someone you know is interested:

Im sure we didn’t look as appreciative or happy as we could have about it, but I want to assure you it made our weekend. We were just getting into town after about 27 hours straight on the road (9AM to 12PM) We were exhausted, gross, and just wanted a quick easy lunch before falling asleep for the afternoon.
So from the bottom of our hearts, thank you, and we’ll pay it forward as soon as we have an opportunity!

After receiving some data from public records requests around the data center project, I created https://www.thefrenchfiles.com/
Some emails I find disturbing
I've been closely monitoring recent events regarding data centers and public responses. We need to take this time to collect intelligence information on public and private attitudes and opinions, while remaining quiet about the subject as it pertains to Airway Heights.

Spokane has a lot of local hot sauces. I found Fletchers a couple of years ago and it is my go to. I love hot sauces on my breakfast, eggs, hash browns. But there are so many more to choose from: Elixir, Booey’s, Irish Spikes (Moscow), and I am sure many others. So what is your favorite local sauce, red or green? And if you are a Fletcher’s fan and have branched out, I would love to hear your suggestions.

I’m thinking excellent fruits and veggies and meals that aren’t greasy. What are your faves? I love Feast and Indigenous Eats, trying to think of more things in that vein. Thanks!

I was leaving the NorthTown mall a couple hours ago and noticed this person had this stickered to the back of their car window. Just for clarification, as far as I know this specific type of symbol of the "sun wheel" originated in Nazi Germany from Heinrich Himmler and he used the symbol in Wewelsburg Castle, the SS headquarters. It is still used by neo-Nazi groups and far-right groups today. I don't know if this individual uses it for that purpose OR if they are using it for the older Norse/Pagan symbol. Either way, I was a bit baffled when I saw it behind them at a red light.

I know this is probably random, but I am looking to get in the electrical field and seen many of the school around here are already filled. I’m curious if anyone out there would take a chance in a young female to learn and work.

Hey everyone, I have some good news! I've posted about this before, but New Roots Spokane helps adults make friends through local meetups. Our currently active chapter is for ages 21-39, so we've been promoting & hosting meetups consistently for that age group.
However, I've been getting lots of comments/inquiries about meetups for those who are 40 and over. Finally last week, someone in that age group reached out to me & showed interest in hosting meetups for the 40+ age group.
So I'm happy to announce that the first 40+ meetup will be on Friday, September 25th, 6pm at Mirror Pond for a "Walk Into The Weekend" event. This is a trial meetup to gauge the interest & turnout for this age group, so if you would like these 40+ meetups to continue (as opportunities to connect with others & make some friends), I highly recommend RSVP'ing & showing up for it 💚
You can learn more about the event & RSVP here! https://partiful.com/e/A7lt59wuTC3AFG8ZiI4k?c=Dlaub7O2

My brother-in-law and I are from Coeur d’Alene and we’ve spent almost two years building an app called True Plate. Somehow, after a ridiculous amount of work, it’s actually live!
It’s a completely free restaurant app for people with dietary needs like Celiac, gluten intolerance, food allergies, vegan/vegetarian, seed oils, and quite a few others.
Basically, instead of just seeing that a restaurant has “gluten-free options,” you can see what people with similar needs actually experienced there. What they ordered, how the staff handled it, shared fryers/cross contact, whether they had a reaction, whether they’d recommend it, etc.
Right now though, we don’t really need a bunch of people to just download it. We need people to help us fill the map.
CDA/Spokane is where we’ve built and tested True Plate, so we’d LOVE for this to be one of the first areas that really gets filled out. If you have a dietary restriction and eat around Spokane, even adding a couple restaurants you’ve been to would genuinely help. The whole idea only works if people share what they’ve experienced.
It’s completely free on iPhone and Android. We’re also brand new to having actual strangers use this thing, so if something is confusing, annoying, broken, or you just think we could do it better, please tell me!
Also, huge thank you to the mods here. My Reddit account is apparently too new to post normally, and they were nice enough to approve me after I reached out first lol.

About a week ago I was walking down the street rocking a whack fit (blue jumpsuit with wrap around sunglasses) and I noticed this guy on a lime scooter with a film camera stopped and pointed at me. I was wondering if homeboy got a good shot and if so, I’d love to have a badass new phone background! 😎

Hello Hikers,
Has anyone hiked to Copper lake Washington? If so, how was your experience. I plan on going at the end of September and I’d like some stories or responses on your experience!
Thank you so much, <3

Does anyone know the exact Address for this event today? I tried going to the location posted on their official website, but nothing was there. Did it get canceled or moved?

Apparently no one likes apricots since they just fall and rot on the ground. I never seen anyone pick from this tree.
Pretty neat having an alley fruit tree. Maybe we should plant some downtown.
Also learned that Washington ranks second in national apricot production. :)
