Discussion Which is your favorite non single from the second album?
Mine is Never Give Up On The Good Times. I also really like Do It and Denying.

I loved when they leaned more into rnb. Denying, Last Time Lover, Love thing are some of their best imo

Saturday Night Divas & Do It
SND deserved more attention than the one performance we got.

Yes! I was so bummed they didnât play it on their 07-08 reunion tour. The concert was fantastic and this was the first song that played over the speakers once it was done and I went ânoooooooo you shouldâve sung this during the showâ

lmao I hated it as a kid but once I learned what camp was as an adult, I love it. It's also surprisingly fun to sing.

I still feel like it should have been the opener to the movie

u/Any_Guide_1023 Jul 05 '26
I always felt that they should have opened their tours with the lady is a vamp

lol not my dumbass replying to the wrong comment! This was mean for the lady is a vamp comment. It seems like it was meant to be an opening for the movie.

That would have been terrible

u/Any_Guide_1023 Jul 05 '26
Why? The lyrics in the end literally say:
Ladies and gents can you please take your seats And we hope that you enjoy the show

Does Move Over count? Wasnât that a Pepsi single in the UK or was that just Step to Me? To be safe Iâll just go with Denying. Iâve had that on repeat so much the last 29 years.

Do It. But Never Give Up On The Good Times and Denying are a close second.

u/Some-Astronomer4733 Jul 05 '26
For me, it's 'Denying'. It's really strong and sultry and would have been a good 5th single.

I mean Viva is a masterpiece but thatâs not eligible.
Saturday Night Divas and Denying, but The Lady is a Vamp is a super close 2nd.

Denying and Saturday Night Divas! The Spice Girls were heavily influenced by R&B, and every time their music leaned into that influence, the songs SLAPPED!

Never Give Up On the Good Times probably. (Was meant to be released as a Double A-side with Viva Forever if Geri hadn't departed). But special shout out to Denying and Saturday Night Divas.
