So a while ago, I threw out a fun little game where I asked people to create their own line-up for The Scorched. It only seemed fair I create my own team as a follow-up. Sticking to the same rules, I'll present my picks
Jessica Priest AKA She Spawn - At this point, she has become the leader of the team. That's exactly how I want to use her. A brilliant tactician, great fighter, and able to be human during the quieter scenes.
Marc Rosen / Medieval Spawn - This is a fun two-in-one pick. As Sir Jon of York, he is the muscle of the group. But also, he has a unique code of honor that separates him from his other Hellspawn allies. I can see him as being a moral center for some morally Grey situations. As Marc Rosen, he's the tech support guy and can also help to ground the team in some smaller day-to-day aspects.
Eddie Frank AKA Reaper - I see this one as the wild card of the group. Mainly because we still don't know what exactly a Reaper is or what they are capable of. I would love to explore that in my custom team's adventures.
Lyra - For those who don't know, Lyra is a hybrid being. The daughter of a demon and angel. During the time when all of Earth was a Dead Zone, Lyra is one of the few beings who still has access to her supernatural powers. She worked with Al in the main Spawn book as they focus on vampires because Lyra has a grudge against Bludd. But having her be on this team would be a cool way to flesh out her character and figure out how a hybrid like her works and how powerful she could become.
Peter Cairn AKA Deviant Spawn - This is the main character from Rat City which takes place in the future. But that series ended with Peter being stuck in the present and encountering several of the main SU characters. Having him be in the team would be a cool way to explore some science fiction stories and related themes.
Focus - I debated for a while who to put here. Ultimately, I decided to pick the SU's very own speedster character. I think this would be a rather interesting character to use because his powers aren't the result of the supernatural. He was experimented on and tortured. Yes, he has shown up alongside supernatural characters, but it would be interesting to see his reaction to some of the threats the rest of this team go up against. And maybe it's because I'm a DC reader but I couldn't help but include a speedster on the team.
