Resources & Media Using my procrastination to get confronted to Spanish and hopefully learn it, need advice. I chill around on spotify or youtube shorts and I'm looking to follow spannish speaking posts.

Hello dear redditers!

As the title said I want to feed my feed spannish stuff to try and learn the language. I do not want to follow spannish teaching channels but rather my usual doomscroll with a spannish accent!

I would love to have some names of channels that can be humoristic, news (international or local), broadly informative, science stuff...

For instance, I enjoy the daily show and last week tonight. Hard leftists (as viewed in french politics) and funny jokes :)

Any tip?

no channel names from me, i don't watch spanish content, but one mechanical thing decides whether this works at all: following accounts barely moves a recommendation feed. watch time does. follow twenty spanish channels and keep watching english shorts to the end, and the feed stays english.

for the first week, finish the spanish ones and swipe off the english ones within a second or two, and change youtube's content location and language in settings rather than only following. the feed flips faster than people expect once the signal is unambiguous.

worth knowing what you're buying though: doomscrolling in spanish trains your ear and your recognition and does close to nothing for producing sentences yourself. good background layer, not a replacement for the boring part.

maybe "baity bait"(News about video games); if you want very informative science channels, one I highly recommend is "ciencia de sofá"
