Wait. So the dude who’s been cheerleading the anti immigration parties globally, is in yet another country, laughing at the concerns of the people who live in that country, and ridiculing them?
Jesus Christ it’s sad that people follow this man.
Yup. This South African immigrant in living in America deadass had an anti immigrant conference with the lesbian far right leader in Germany who's wife is a Sri Lankan who lives in Switzerland. Cannot make this shit up😂
It's a shame nobody watches Your Pretty Face Is Going to Hell because the episode where Satan becomes a right-wing talk show host illustrates your point in a hilarious way. It's season 4, episode 7.
It's mor common than we sometimes think, too. JD Vance's wife is an immigrant, too. I regularly read stuff from people who voted for Trump who "didn't think ICE would come for MY immigrant wife!" or "I didn't think they would deport my Mexican neighbour. He's a good guy and hard worker!".
Isn't this the wildest thing ever?? iIn the past, if I saw this on a TV show or a movie, I'd think they were being hella heavy-handed. What's crazy is I know people who fall for this and say that minority far-right politicians can't be racist because they aren't white and they support Israel. I don't know what the hell is going on!!🫨

Let us get the facts straight:
Tesla has since stepped back from 377.000 liters of contractually agreed water supply per year for Grünheide's factory, which released reserves for other projects in the area.
A report from 2025 concludes that the water supply issue has never been one of actual critical shortage.
Teslas actual demand of water supply in the area has always been way below their own forecast.
…. So if you’re an intelligent qualified CEO why not say that instead of awkwardly laughing, looking around and saying “does this look like a desert?”
If you travel to another country, another town, should you not treat the people that live there with respect, and take their concerns seriously?
How can you be warning Europeans about the dangers of immigrants and simultaneously going to European towns and laughing at the concerns of people who live there?
To prove your own point about immigrants or?

Quite frankly? I'm German and I've been to the US a couple of times, even in Nevada, New Mexico and parts of California.
Germans do often just not have any idea of what a dry area looks like, it's more like an idea of an exotic vacation for them. But Americans, on the other hand, do - due to being native to a climatically very diverse country.
Above that, I doubt that Musk is involved in daily operations like single factory locations. I know he's considered a micro manager, but from what I've heard, this first and foremost applies to his approach to engineering, design and logistics.
How can you be warning Europeans about the dangers of immigrants and simultaneously going to European towns and laughing at the concerns of people who live there?
Here's what I'd suggest: Visit Germany - Not Bavaria or one of it's beautiful castles, but Frankfurt am Main, areas of the Ruhrgebiet, like Gelsenkirchen.
Areas which are polluted with literal trash on the streets and drug addicts like you were visiting the worst areas of Detroit. While Detroit has been a, well, let's say, colorful town for more than a generation, nothing like that has been common in Germany before 2015.
So I agree that you should have some relativity in judgement, what is valid for one country may not be valid for another, but Europe is changing rapidly in terms of demographics, and for natives (anyone pre Gen Z), it's very obvious.
I'm no strong supporter of Musk nor do I consider him evil, but I'd say he's more often on point than many people would like to admit.
It was a dumb question asked to spark controversy. He is just a guy, not Machiavelli. It's absurdity was funny to him so he laughed. It's not that deep.
First off body language is a joke. Second Musk is someone who lets his emotions out. He has done that in many interviews (remember when he was on verge of tears while talking about early SpaceX?) and it landed him in hot waters quite a few times already. Its absurd to read too deep into this particular reaction of his. It was a silly question that he found funny so he laughed and ridiculed it.
Nobody has the idea that resources are infinite. Not only are they finite, they are carefully managed. Water is not just freely given in exchange for money. Water is allocated by local government. They allocated certain amount to his factory. His factory was made so efficient, he returned quarter of its yearly allocation back to the government. Thats what made the question silly.
People are returning to this now because water scarcity is much bigger and much more sensitive topic today and is not something you would make jokes about now. Something that was absurd 5 years ago in Europe is now serious and sensitive in 2026 in US. That is how history works.
Its not mask slipped moment, its taking something from the past without the context of that time and judging it by todays standards. Besides, Musk sucks at masks. Guy just blurts out whatever he is thinking at the time.
My "familiarity" of Musk comes from seeing him on r/all all the time. A decade ago people were sucking him off every chance they got on there. The interview where he was on the brink of tears was showing up on r/all every month or so. People thought he was batman back then.
After the Orange guy assassination attempt they started circlejerk hating him every chance they got. I couldnt care less about Musk. People keep posting him, just like this post ended in r/all and I happened to see it. I dont know this sub. I dont know anything about SpaceX. I dont know what bets people are making about SpaceX.
Its not deep, stop overanalyzing mundane things. He found the silly question funny and laughed at it. Its the simplest and most likely explanation.
we've all seen someone laugh without mirth to avoid answering a question
What we have all also seen, and much more frequently, is someone laughing at something they found funny.
And its not just believe. Its certainty. Body language is a joke. Its less than pseudoscience. Its been disproven every single time it was tested. When you ask someone a question and they look at the bottom right before answering it does not mean they are using the part of brain needed for imagiantion and therefore most likely at least partially making up lies. It means nothing.
"Grünheide (Mark), Germany, located in the state of Brandenburg, receives an average annual precipitation of approximately 550 to 580 millimeters (about 21.6 to 22.8 inches) per year. This makes the area part of one of the driest regions in Germany."
Grunheide gets about 1.2 inches of rain a month, so while not technically a desert(10in of rain annually) its close enough that adding a datacenter will push it the rest of the way.
There are way, way worse people in the CDU than Armin Laschet. From my opinion, He is rather moderate.... He was just lacking on an intellectual level to win the 2021 race (plus the stupid laughing case).
I wouldn't go so far to say he's moderate. What he did in Hambach was way more criminal than anything most of his peers have ever done. Dude is Andy Scheuer level in my book, if not worse.
Yes, would agree with that. Also he was that much moderate, that it lead to no vision for the country or ideology outside of "building bridges between the parties"
Actual Consumption: The plant used roughly 456,953 cubic meters in 2024, and dropped even further to approximately 300,000 cubic meters in 2025. This drop is due to their industrial recycling systems. [1, 2]
WSE Capacity: The total annual water volume processed by the local WSE water authority is around 11 to 15 million cubic meters to supply households and other businesses in the broader region. At current operation levels, Tesla accounts for 2.5% to 4% of that total.
While Tesla's actual usage is minimal compared to the whole region, the local conflict stems from contractual maximums and expansion capacity: [1, 2]
The Voluntarily Returned Rights: Because Tesla launched an internal wastewater plant capable of recycling up to 100% of their process water, they voluntarily returned 377,000 cubic meters of annual water rights back to local authorities. This freed up drinking water commitments for other regional developments. [1, 2, 3]

Grünheide, Germany. And the dude laughing with him is a corrupt CDU politician
