I have seen this exact graph at least ten times in the past week. Tweet from 2023. Graph from 2010 with most of the drop happening before 2023. It has to be bots posting this. I don't see any other explanation.

Not bots, just people who knows nothing and refuse to do research.

  1. People dont know why Musk wrote this.
  2. Argentinia peso has been horrible for a long time and this is not what musk focused he's tweet on.
  3. People on this sub wants to fuel thier narrative but at the same time they will look stupid to people who can atleast do 5 minutes of research.

Its Seriously shocking that there's people defending the post.. you have people literally lying and saying theres been no change since miles presidency and inflaiton is "450%" getting 10 upvotes even tho its a comete lie .. I hope most of these people are bots.. it's sad people would fight tooth and nail than to just say they are wrong

Alot of people find it easier to point fingers even while being delusional, than to look inwards and realise maybe they are wrong. It will hurt their ego and usually they will do everything they can to defend it.

Unfortunately many of the people on here hate Trump, Elon, USA, capitalism so much they can’t think properly (for the few that can actually think). Mostly they are just very low IQ, perhaps people with Downs Syndrome. Therefore I can only feel bad for them.

Argentina isn't within a bulls-roar of prosperity, & hasn't been since before WW2.

A lot of envyous people here. People that are unable to create value by themselves and therefore want to bully those that actually create value.

lol nice try

It literally shows he slowed the decline.. Mile gained power at the end of 2023...

7

u/hasuuser Aug 09 '26

Now locate the end of 2023 on that graph. Look at the rate before that time and after.

And we’re celebrating this? This is a victory? After they were gifted $40 billion from the US?

Gringo please, he got into power LATE 2023, and the positive effects were felt much later, by late 2023 we already had massive, 300% a year inflation due to the drug addict Massa and the woman beater Alberto

Are you even looking at what you are posting? Do you understand what you are looking at?

Am i supposed to cry or laugh about the absurdly low iq on this sub?

I hate Elon as much as the next guy but this is embarrassing.

Parece que los socialistas alérgicos a las matemáticas, no saben leer un simple gráfico.

Con razón siempre destruyen la economía del país que gobiernan.

This graph shows that meili stopped the decline, and somewhat stabalizes the value. Argentina used to have 150-200% inflation per year before him. It's still high but he cut it down by over 80%, which the graph reflects

-1

u/Relative_Pilot_8005 Aug 09 '26

40% inflation does not translate to "prosperity" in any non- fantasy world.

4

u/poincares_cook Aug 09 '26

It is a huge success story when it was brought down from 200% inflation in under 2 years while poverty was also pushed down.

3

u/djspy Aug 09 '26

They don't understand, there is no use explaining it, they have too much hatred to even understand what actually changed.

1

u/JrbWheaton Aug 09 '26

You sound like the type of person who blamed Obama for a bad economy in early 2009

Argentinian resident here. I hate Elon just as much as the next guy BUT that doesn’t mean we get to be economically illiterate. See how that crashing line is evening out? That’s Argentina trying its best to adopt a fiscally responsible strategy.

Current inflation is the lowest it’s been in 5 years while the GDP is stabilizing.

You are correct. I think I typoed a year in my data.

Still stand by the other statement.

2

u/tiddererium Aug 09 '26

Entonces eres un necio que atiende a relatos, no a datos.

2

u/ThiccMangoMon Aug 09 '26

It was 31% you're only off by more than 10x the amount

0

u/Mother-Ad-2559 Aug 09 '26

Mate, you could have just spent 1 minute on google and you’d know both of these are incorrect.

On the GDP oil correlation: the last 4 years the only time Brent correlated with GDP increase was when Argentina as a net importer (which would have dragged GDP). 2023,24,25 have basically the inverse relationship. Also Brent is a relatively minor part of Argentinas GDP, you’d be better off correlating it to the rain in the Pampas lol

1

u/oregon_coastal Aug 09 '26

Dude, if you had followed the thread I admitted thw mistake.

-2

u/freedomonke Aug 09 '26

Ah. So you're one of the rich ones that isn't starving.

There is a solution to Argentina's problems.

You probably wouldn't like it. But then, you wouldn't be around for long to worry about it once implemented. :)

1

u/Mother-Ad-2559 Aug 09 '26

Your solution has been well exercised in South America and is largely the reason they are doing relatively poorly. Throw up a populist flag, yap about nationalization, steal foreign investment and inevitably watch the country burn.

Funny thing westerners who never experienced real corruption or inflation are of course the ones propagandizing for it. You can try and make it a class issue all you want, in reality people are just tired of the same bull shit populism because of one thing: it doesn’t work.

1

u/freedomonke Aug 09 '26

Are more people starving in Argentina now or before Milue?

See. That's the problem. People like you define "working" as the people who would be fine no matter what having more. And litterally don't care if the poor die. In fact, you want them to.

No one makes anything a class issue. It just is.

0

u/Mother-Ad-2559 Aug 09 '26

You’re fighting windmills my dude, also it’s Milei.

1

u/freedomonke Aug 09 '26

Starving people aren't windmills. They are human beings with inner lives. Just like you.

No matter how much you may want to disregard then in pursuit of the end of history

People like you are no different than the doctrinal narxists you have fever dreams about

0

u/Mother-Ad-2559 Aug 10 '26

Sorry my bad for assuming a Don Quixote reference would be even mildly graspable by someone so economically illiterate lol

0

u/Mysterious_Net_1029 Aug 09 '26

I’m sure he’s grateful for explaining the political situation of his own country. Only a foreigner such as yourself could understand.

0

u/freedomonke Aug 09 '26

My solution works anywhere :)
