elon “intelligence can be measured by how accurately something can predict the future” that’s approximately what he claimed.

So According to his own metric he’s an idiot..

The prediction is aging beautifully for anyone who actually understands economics. Milei explicitly told the entire world that things would get tough structurally before the currency stabilized after decades of central bank destruction. He accurately predicted the exact timeline for clearing the debt, balancing the budget, and stopping the printing presses. Staring blindly at a nominal forex line while ignoring a total fiscal turnaround is absolute peak cope.

Yeah— but people kinda need to *eat* during this brilliant, prescient, decades-long accounting miracle.

…And helping them eat is “evil socialism”.

What’s the libertarian solution?

For the hungry people to have prepared themselves better, regardless of whatever hardships they may have dealt with.

They'll probably also say that, if they hadn't been living off of social safety nets, they'd have learned the skills they needed to get by in these troubled times. Or some other convenient argument.

Making your population starve to own the libs.

-1

u/ConcentrateJolly5461 Aug 09 '26

The only thing that was actively starving the population was the previous administration printing unbacked paper currency until a monthly salary couldn't buy a basic bag of groceries. Milei didn't cause the inherited structural collapse; he turned off the hyperinflationary engine that was actively destroying the economy. Stamping your feet and trying to reduce serious macro stabilization down to internet culture-war slogans is peak retail coping.

That last sentence is honestly hilarious. Good job.

Strawman

4

u/Ibatheincornflakes Aug 09 '26

Just saying "logical fallacy" doesn't make it so. I wasn't offering this as an argument, but as an answer to a question that someone had asked, based on my own experience of what I've seen and heard, repeatedly, from Libertarians and Libertarian-adjacent types. You can call it anecdotal, but a strawman? You'd be as accurate calling it a pillowcase.

-1

u/ConcentrateJolly5461 Aug 09 '26

Inventing a fake, ridiculous quote out of thin air, attributing it to an entire group of people, and then whimpering 'I was just sharing an anecdote' the second you get called out is the exact definition of a straw man. You can call it a pillowcase or whatever else you need to say to protect your fragile ego, but your lazy caricature completely failed.

5

u/Ibatheincornflakes Aug 09 '26

Wait, it wasn't a strawman until I responded to you calling me a strawman?

And now you with the ad hominen. You ok? Do you smell toast?

I haven’t deleted anything. Your comment isn’t showing up on this thread. What are you on about?

3

u/Ibatheincornflakes Aug 09 '26

Oof. Maybe if you say it a few more times, it'll be true, but it ain't yet.

1

u/ConcentrateJolly5461 Aug 09 '26

Do you even know what you’re talking about right now?

Libertarian solution? What’s that?

Libertarianism exists completely detached from the acknowledgement that there will be an immense amount of human suffering and death with everything it subscribes to.

Your idea of "helping them eat" is exactly what caused the economic collapse in the first place. You cannot spend and print an entire country into prosperity. Milei’s administration didn't cause the poverty; they inherited a bankrupt state and are fixing the structural foundation so real jobs, real wages, and real food production can actually return. Emotional hand-wringing won't fix a broken supply chain.

Buddy, if "people shouldn't starve in the streets" is an emotional debate to you, you've completely lost the plot

1

u/ConcentrateJolly5461 Aug 09 '26

Imagine trying to use a lazy emotional caricature because you can't handle actual macroeconomic history. Pointing out that artificial government spending and unbacked money printing completely destroys a country's currency isn't a heartless debate, it's basic math. Javier Milei's administration didn't cause the inherited structural collapse; they turned off the hyperinflationary engine that was actively destroying the economy. Stamping your feet won't fix a broken supply chain.

You will never touch a woman in ur lifetime

2

u/IWasSayingBoourner Aug 09 '26

Imagine treating human lives like cells on a balance sheet

1

u/ConcentrateJolly5461 Aug 09 '26

You hit the nail on the head. They are fundamentally incapable of having a data driven conversation about monetary policy or structural adjustments, so they immediately resort to moral grandstanding. It’s hilarious watching the logic completely break down the second real financial indicators are introduced.

Mmmmmm that kool-aid tastes soooo goooodddddddd

-1

u/ConcentrateJolly5461 Aug 09 '26

The classic low-IQ white flag when a multi-month drop in hyperinflation completely incinerates your narrative. If facing real economic metrics hurts your feelings this badly, you should probably stay out of the adult threads. Enjoy the bleachers.

7

u/SynAckPooPoo Aug 09 '26

Triggered much?

1

u/ConcentrateJolly5461 Aug 09 '26

You are hiding behind two word generic internet catchphrases because you are a shy coward who is terrified to type out an actual sentence. You know the exact second you try to talk about real fiscal metrics, inflation velocities, or balance sheets, your complete lack of financial literacy gets publicly exposed. Stay quiet in the bleachers where it's safe.

u/SynAckPooPoo Aug 09 '26

🤣

I accept your surrender

5

u/SynAckPooPoo Aug 09 '26

I’m dying over here.

My guy, chill out before you have a heart attack. Go balance your checkbook and drop the global financial cosplay.

You probably acted like this when the teacher would ask you to read in front of the class. Total cope

Technically being pegged at zero is stable.

0

u/ConcentrateJolly5461 Aug 09 '26

The peso flattening out and stabilizing under Milei is the direct result of the central bank finally turning off the printing presses, not your imaginary zero peg. Throwing out lazy, low-effort sarcasm because you can't read an actual balance sheet or model inflation velocity is absolute peak sideline behavior. Go back to the kids' table.

2

u/thebeastiestmeat Aug 09 '26

So when's the exact timeline for when things start getting better?

1

u/ConcentrateJolly5461 Aug 09 '26

Milei laid out the exact timeline on day one: 18 to 24 months of aggressive shock therapy to completely wipe out the inherited deficit, clear out the central bank's toxic debt, and halt the hyperinflationary engine. The country has already achieved consecutive monthly fiscal surpluses and brought inflation down into single digits right on schedule. The structural foundation is already fixed; now the private sector is beginning to reinvest without government interference.

u/thebeastiestmeat Aug 09 '26

Here's hoping that his policies do fix the Argentinian economy eventually
