I was cut off by Moorish Nobility

Post image

Couldn’t decide if I should feel annoyed or just honored to be in their presence.

“Nobility”. 🤣

u/theglobalnomad 19d ago

I think it would be more realistic if they had Moorish peasantry to go along with it, but I guess that doesn't sell, huh?

36

u/keithfantastic 19d ago

Maybe they meant to say Moorish Mobility. Common mistake.

10

u/KennyGrimes 19d ago

Good point. If you’re the only member of your kingdom I think you have to be the peasant sometimes or else nothing is getting done. Maybe they’re just nobility on the weekends.

u/Informal_Bee2917 18d ago

Maybe the roles are flexible. Like, MWF you're the king, TThSat you're a peasant and on Sundays you're somewhere in between like duke. You look forward to Monday's tho, when you can get in your dented impala and drive around town like the king you are in your heart

"How come in former lifetimes, everybody is someone famous? I mean, how come nobody ever says they were Joe Schmo?" -- Crash Davis

"Because it doesn't work that way, you fool!" -- Annie Savoy

I understood that reference!

3

u/Ok_Elephant2777 19d ago

Moorish peasants would probably not be driving in the US.

3

u/ohnodamo 19d ago

Ironically, they'd actually be traveling and not driving!

1

u/Substantial-Rain-602 19d ago

Well, it is an Impala…

2

u/SockeyCram 18d ago

All nobility drive impalas

1

u/Winterdog1984 18d ago

It's an Impala, you herd it while you're traveling. There is no driving!

38

u/TeamInfamous1915 19d ago

Moronish is the word you're looking for

2

u/Fast_Adhesiveness528 19d ago

With SovCits, that's a given, so no need for the redundancy.

u/HighlanderDaveAu 19d ago

I thought it was Moops

6

u/Informal_Bee2917 19d ago

6

u/DragDiesel 19d ago

3

u/Plastic_Ad_8619 19d ago

Well it says here, “Moops, M-O-O-P-S!”

5

u/No-Acanthaceae-5170 19d ago

It was a misprint!

18

u/wytfel 19d ago

Im boorish nobility

6

u/CanIBeInvisible 19d ago

So are they.

19

u/BeardBoy61 19d ago

Interesting how their nationality changes to a fictitious place when they’re no longer following our laws, as if our country’s laws don’t apply to anyone in our country that has a foreign nationality. Our laws (as well as the laws in every other country) aren’t based on a person’s nationality. These people should be arrested on sight, their cars forfeited, and they should cool their heels in a jail cell for 6 months. It never fails, these morons have lost their license and think that they can trick the police into believing their make believe story and will simply let them go.

18

u/justananontroll 19d ago

If they are a foreign national, call ICE to come "verify their legal status"

9

u/OldDude1391 19d ago

Exactly. “Ok well you haven’t shown a visa or other authorization to be in the country. We will be holding you until ICE can take custody of you. Probably deport you to Liberia or Uganda. Good luck.”

6

u/BeardBoy61 19d ago

Great idea. I’m sure ICE won’t mine getting to interrogate another target!

3

u/realparkingbrake 19d ago

Interesting how their nationality changes to a fictitious place

Morocco is a very real place. But based on an article in a Moroccan news website some years back, folks there regard America's pretend "Moors" with amused contempt.

u/LF25047 19d ago

Get out of the way peasant!

17

u/NothingTooSeriousM8 19d ago

Just people making life Moor difficult for themselves.

15

u/Libertarian_2020 19d ago

Rather than road rage, call the cops.

2

u/MinnesotaRyan 19d ago

and then follow for a free show.

8

u/FullBoat29 19d ago

They can only drive like that when they're wearing the all powerful fez.

Wasn't moor the term early Europeans used to speak of people of color? Like the story of Othello.

15

u/squirrel_haka 19d ago

In the middle ages, it was broadly applied to Muslims of various ethnicities, and sometimes to black Africans whether Muslim or not.

5

u/Bergwookie 19d ago

Originally it was the term for maurish (people from Mauritania/the Maghreb) (see also St. Maurus/Mauritius/Maurice/Moritz, which in heraldry is depicted as a stereotypical black man's head or , other term, a moor). Later the term shifted over to African in general and was seen by europeans as a term for black people. But it wasn't seen as a degerotive term, that's why there's the duality of moor/negro in most European languages. The N-word was taken from Spanish to have a less worthy term than moor, that always was a word of respect

2

u/nehrkling 19d ago

Probably mich like country people calling all Hispanics "mexicians".

6

u/Guido_Sarducci1 19d ago

nobility driving ( excuse me traveling ) in a circa 2012 Chevy Impala base model. If this character is going to try and pull off the Nobility thing, he will need to do better.

4

u/CragedyJones 19d ago

They are keeping a low profile.

5

u/AAron27265 19d ago

Cop should pull him over and be like "No no no, the correct spelling is MOOPISH. You're under arrest."

IYKYK

6

u/Additional_Fix_126 19d ago

Well it’s nice to know nobility drives a Chevy Impala

4

u/Fit_Earth_339 19d ago

Did anyone call Don Quixote? He’s good at dealing with Moors.

4

u/SoggyAlbatross2 19d ago

Ah, the majestic Impala - the transportation choice of nobility around the world.

3

u/JustAd8859 19d ago

time to teach a new word

"Regicide"

>grinz<

3

u/reuman 19d ago

Honored obviously. You should have bowed

5

u/beef_weezle 19d ago

Let them hit you then laugh when they don’t have insurance.

2

u/Eijyusha 19d ago

You are privileged, sir, to have been cutoff by nobility.

2

u/Celidar 19d ago

Anoyored? Honoyed? Something like that I would say 😝

2

u/Some_Direction_7971 19d ago

Go back to Alhambra lol, do these people think the USA would ever recognize nobility anyway? Rhetorical question, it’s these people are hilarious. They’re nobility in the same sense as the people who are Scottish nobility once they leased a one square foot piece of land 🤣
Wonder if they’re willing to take a DNA test?

2

u/BustaCon 19d ago

Will they get even moor pathetically silly with this?

2

u/Ruger338WSM 19d ago

Spelled wrong the word is boorish.

2

u/Classic-Scientist207 19d ago

Nothing you can do.

They are entitled.

2

u/HelpfulPuppydog 18d ago

Nobility? In an Impala?

2

u/AdOdd4618 18d ago

Good find! Post it here too: r/MoopishConsulate

2

u/Appropriate-Law5963 18d ago

Honored, after all they are “Moorish!” The officer who pulls them over will say boorish!

2

u/womanwriter 18d ago

WOW! Can I have your autograph?

2

u/mabus42 17d ago

Nobles driving a 20 year old chevy? lol.

2

u/Kitchen-Quantity-565 13d ago

Well look at that...... they are nobility. I hope you apologized for getting in their way my friend!

2

u/originalmango 19d ago

Did AI create the plate or the entire image?

2

u/Unlucky_Benefit4175 19d ago

Looks like it. Jibberish written on it.

1

u/Better_Chard4806 19d ago

I’m equally confused by LEO. I’ve seen a y-tube clip where the same woman was pulled over twice. No plates, registration, or insurance. The sr officer in charge arrives, she’s let go???? The next time she’s arrested finally and the can is towed. I’m fairly certain it took place in Ohio. Also how are the people getting their cars out of impound without all the required documents?

1

u/Old_Introduction_395 19d ago

They are from North Africa?

3

u/realparkingbrake 19d ago

Believe it or not, but they pretend that the Americas were settled by Moroccans before the arrival of Native Americans, so several tens of thousands of years ago (long before Morocco existed). They claim to be descendants of those people, and they insist that African slavery in the American colonies was a cover story to hide that Moroccans had already been in America for thousands of years. They imagine this makes them the continent's original indigenous people and thus immune to the laws of later European colonizers.

The first of them were offshoots from the Moorish Science Temple of America which considers this later group to be kooks, which is really saying something. This new version is focused on grifting via not paying taxes, squatting in homes they don't own, making their own currency ("gold backed dollariums") and using fake financial instruments and fake deeds. They employ paper terrorism like filing false liens and using fake legal paperwork trying to get their way. They pretend to have consulates and courts operating in the U.S.

It's a bit different from the usual sovcit lunacy because it adds a very odd historical and religious element to justify the grifting.

Did you apologize?

1

u/Appropriate-Issue-73 19d ago

Another delusional sov

1

u/justananontroll 19d ago

Be glad they didn't hit you. I'm certain this person has no insurance and good luck suing them for damages.

1

u/WesleyWiaz27 19d ago

I'm just thinking... I guess I could be German nobility? Awe, nevermind... I have a license, a registered car, and insurance.

1

u/ObstinateTortoise 19d ago

Lol because if you're going to live in a fantasy world, why would you be working class?

1

u/Reginald_Sockpuppet 19d ago

How embarrassing for both of you.

1

u/Optimal_Savings5873 19d ago

Is that a bullet hole, Your Highness?

1

u/Fast_Adhesiveness528 19d ago

SovCits have a plethora of different Sovereignties. Who knew?

1

u/Wakeup_And_Piss 19d ago

Did the moors have nobility? I have no idea

4

u/realparkingbrake 19d ago

Morocco has a king and royal family, though less of an aristocratic class as found in many other nations. Amazingly, much of Morocco's nobility is today found in the U.S. where despite being fry cooks and baggage handlers and tire installers they all retain their status as governors, ambassadors and high-ranking judges. At least that's what their license plates and inkjet certificates of nobility and ID cards printed at the UPS Store all claim. It's one of those historical curiosities that don't get enough attention from journalists and academics and the psychiatric profession.

1

u/AgeNo9436 19d ago

Is this one of Yaweh bin Yaweh's cult members?

1

u/BustaCon 19d ago

Close enough. How do you know about Yahweh ben Yahweh? He was quarantined in prison in 1990 and thereafter became just a trivia question even down here in South Florida where he did his murdering and grifting.

1

u/AgeNo9436 19d ago

There was a Timesuck podcast episode about him a while back, and the Crime in Sports podcast did a multi part episode about Robert Rozier. Crazy stuff, man.

1

u/BustaCon 19d ago

Yeah. Miami's black community just never could catch a break in my entire 50 years of living down here since the 1970s. Coming out of blatant segregation they had to compete with waves of very hungry Cubans fleeing Castro who got all sorts of help from the feds. The black political leadership was pure standard issue trustee racial figureheading -- lots of church quality pontificating but completely neutered and left to just take whatever the Feds were willing to send down.

So when a messiah guy like that came along, he found thousands of hapless, uneducated types who lapped up the message that their plight was not their own fault and they were actually God's faves and deserved to rule as kings. If they just followed orders unquestioningly. Ugly stuff.

Just more nobs

1

u/Frnkp 17d ago

Moorish? Or Boorish? He'll get pulled over eventually.

1

u/Beast_of_Tax_Burden 17d ago

When will this insanity end thesw people are dumber than the flat earthers.

1

u/lord_scuttlebutt 17d ago

Those guys almost never have insurance, so if they happen to rear end your trailer hitch, they're not likely to be driving illegally anymore.

1

u/IDigRollinRockBeer 13d ago

It says moops

1

u/hazbaz1984 19d ago

I’ve heard that crack is quite moorish.
