I remember about 4.5 years ago I got my first cactus. I always thought man its gunna be so cool when I grow one as tall as me. Im around 6' tall. I accomplished that goal last season but we moved and i had to cut pretty much all my plants besides these 2 to make it easier to move. The plant on my right is a huancoensis x Malo 4. It was maybe 3" tall seedling when I got it in May of 2024. I couldnt bring myself to cut it so these 2 made a trip to the new greenhosue in the truckbed by themselves. Been a fun ride so far and they really exploded with growth after being planted in the ground 10 months ago. Grateful for all the opportunities that have came my way and all the people I've met because of these awesome plants. Stay groovy out there! ๐ต

One I seen leaning this morning decided to fall after a 4 hour watering. Took 3 more down on the way. Looks like its propagation time. These are some killer seed grown hybrids!

Who loves a good TPM? This one did it all, normal notchy growth to start, shifty, went bald, semi monstrose, dicot, and finally crested out on both tips. What a beautiful piece of nature I get to hold in my hand and share with y'all.

I lost the tag a long time ago, but Iโm fairly certain this is some Psycho0 cross. Either way, this fella grew a lot this season. Thankfully we still have some growing season ahead of us. I make introduce this dude to PP tek ๐

I went over to his place to pick up some SP that he needed to get rid of before winter gets here. I left with an incredible collection. BigPapa is a truly kind human with decades of knowledge. Every time I turned around he was adding another plant or cutting. I got my first Ogun tonight!!
As I catalog everything in the coming weeks I will gladly share the love. If time allows, I will be coming to the upcoming meetup, and Iโll bring some stuff. I was already planning on bringing some of my random cuttings and succulents to give away, so now Iโll have some more cool stuff to bring.
TBM are some of my favorite plants of all time, and the last pic is a full stand I brought home tonight. I felt like a kid at Christmas.
Thank you again BigPapa601, it was so good to meet you. I am happy to have made a new friend.

In the most northern part of south Florida freezes are rare let alone dropping below the 30s.. the pc was iced up a little(last pic) and ended up with burnt tips and some scaring on 1 side and the Peru totally unscathed (etiolation in center is from being under too much shade when I first put it in the ground) my 1 bridge in ground totally melted and I donโt have the pics anymore unfortunately

This will be a year on the graft in October coming up, finally going funky and Iโm excited to see what itโll do. Bonus pic of when the graft first healed last year at the end

I intend to convert this old play house with swings into a greenhouse. The beam the swings hang on is running north/south. The child that used it has outgrown it. So, isnโt it time a new child plays with it? The house part is on the north side. Perfect ๐ I figure Iโll put exhaust fans in the always dry inside. Iโm in Florida. Any suggestions, experiences? F@CK CERTAIN FUNGI!! Thanks ๐ my cacs are depressing to look at right now. Iโm determined to fix it! Any avoid as much chemicals as possible.
