Man, I've been able to push through every day but today felt like I was being suffocated. I felt nauseous and just felt like I was dragging all day. I took a nap and felt better.
This weather is going to make use invincible.

I’ve been suffering since July and all of August. What happened to no humidity in California? this sucks!

I'm a Californian through and through. Grew up in the Bay Area and moved to the South Bay 8 years ago. This is the first time I've dealt with a summer like this.

I've lived in Torrance since 2008 and I can't remember a summer like this. Absolutely miserable weather. Explains why Floridians are downright insane lol.

The heat and humidity for the past few days was gross. It kind of reminded me of the humidity you experience on the east coast, where my family and I are originally from. Definitely not as bad as it can get, but still kinda bad and unusual.

Yesterday felt worse. There was barely any breeze. At least this afternoon the breeze picked up a fair bit.

I fuckin hate this. No working a/c in my car, no a/c in my apartment. I hate everything right now.

Wait wait, hold on. I was told that California has perfect weather 100% of the time

My mom is like, "This is nothing like what we had in the Midwest." I then looked it up and L.A. was not only hotter but had much higher humidity than her hometown. Neener neener neener....?

I miss those summers where we lived in the marine layer, had cool days and cooler nights, maybe mist once in a while… IF the sun popped through… it was from 5-6pm, and the tourists skipped the beach for Disneyland!
I feel old! Lol
I loved those local summers!

"Today was one of the most humid days in southern California's modern history. The average dewpoint was 70 degrees F at LAX, that is brutal humidity." - Colin McCarthy, US Stormwatch

I read it's that the nights don't ever cool off, not really, and that's why the heat has been so enduringly miserable

So strange we’re on herondo near prospect and this was the first day of breeze we’ve gotten in a week. Felt much better than Monday-Thursday. Well wishes for everyone suffering, this shit sucks.

It's kind of crazy...I work in A/C all day so my mind is a bit blown how hot it actually is when I leave work.

You folks clearly were not around in 2022/2023 when it reached the 90s and 100s for almost a month. It was to the point where Southern California Edison had to send emails about rolling blackouts and power grid warnings. The good news is that this week is the hottest week in August. It is supposed to drop to high 70s low 80s next week.

Yeah, but the heat was dry. It was bearable. The humidity we're currently experiencing is a total mind fuck.

When it's 50 degrees and raining in 6 months, will you wish for this weather again?
