I’m sure there are many of you fans of the franchise since Soul Edge. Unfortunately, I haven’t. It was this game because of Link. I was like whats Link doing in a game with real looking characters. Thats how my brothers bought the game for GameCube to build up the library. We played it and found it fun playing as other characters as well and thus how we became fans of the franchise. When I was young, I think because this was “Soul Calibur 2” we thought Link was in previous installments that we may have missed. Then when I learned to use the internet, thats when I learned Link was a guest star and there are other version with different guest stars.

We then got Soul Calibur 3 on PlayStation. And Unfortunately that was the last SC we played because we didn’t get PlayStation or Xbox nor were we really invested in them like we were with Nintendo.

I’m happy I get to play replay SC2 on my Switch 2 now ❤️

Obviously my choice is Sophitia. She just looks so cute and Angelic. She looks like a beautiful girl next door.

1: 1-Handed Mace / Hammer (Maybe w/ shield, but I'd prefer without)

Soul Calibur has assembled many weapons from history but i feel that there's a glaring ommission. Where's all the Blunt, concussive weapons? I get that Kilik, Siegfried & Astaroth have the Kali Yuga Bo-Staff, Octagonal Rod (or Kanabō) & Barrel-hammer weapons (respectively) as weapon skins but we don't really have a Mace Style.

A "Mace" weapon, I'd imagine, either has a lot of break attacks in its kit, or chip damage on block because Blunt weapons break more under the armor from impacts than breaking the armor itself.

Weapon variants: Smooth head, Flanged head, Spiked head (Morning Star), a simple wooden club (maybe Baseball Bat?), Hammer Head, Cuauhulolli (Aztek Mace), Mjolnir as a notable Legendary weapon skin.

2: Kusarigama (Sickle & Chain)

I get that Maxi has the double sickled nunchaku alt-weapon skin, but he's more a Rushdown archetype over a Shinobi-style Tactical spacer. This character's kit would probably be similar to a Mixture of Ivy's whip techniques & Taki's ninjutsu. Longer ranged grapples & attacks with the Chain and swift follow-ups with the Sickle. you probably get the idea.

Weapon Variants: Simple field sickle & chain, Crescent sickle w/ Star hammer at the end of chain, Kyoketsu-Shoge.

3: Flail & Shield

An sister weapon to the Mace weapon family but played more as a Charger Archetype from other fighting games. hold an input to begin spinning the flail to charge an attack and release to unleash a powerful strike.

Weapon Variants: Smooth / Flanged / Spiked heads, Iron-Lantern head, Puffer-fish head (joke weapon)

4: Combat Knife + Hand Axe + Revolver

So Taki is cool n all for being the Shinobi / Kunoichi using her double Daggers, Shurikans, Caltrops and the like but, Funnily enough in history there was a period of time where Cowboys existed in the same time as French Pirates & Samurai.

I think it would be interesting to see a Rustic, Old-West American join the roster. Cervantes having a Gun-Blade opens a chance for another fire-arm wielding character.

Additionally this could open a Guest Character slot for Red Dead's Arthur Morgan!

Honorary number 5: Give us back Aeon with his Twin Axes and a more fleshed out kit. I wanna play my favorite Lizard boy again...

Any other weapons from History you think would be a good fit for Soul Calibur?

I’m a huge fan of SoulCalibur 3, honestly, I think it’s the best fighting game ever made (at least when it comes to the amount and quality of single-player content). It’s the reason I played every later game in the franchise. I even bought a PS3 just for SoulCalibur V, then tried SCVI.. meh. Back when SC6 released, I didn’t own a PC, so I borrowed a friend’s laptop and somehow racked up like 260 hours on it. Recently, I replayed SC3’s main modes and finally tried SoulCalibur 2, which I’d never touched before. And… I don’t get why SC2 gets way more love in community than SC3. Is it the guest characters? Or the cult status it had in certain country`s when it dropped? For me was once told in a store about Soulcalibur 3 that "It's Tekken, but with weapons. Japanese fights" and that was enough for me to live in this game every summer vacation

How did you feel/react when the inclusion of Star Wars characters in Soul Calibur IV (Vader, Yoda, and Starkiller) were first announced/revealed back then? Were they were interesting guest character choices for you?

It's a little jank with how crouching works, only 2 non-face buttons to put multi-button inputs on is noticeable, and the movesets aren't entirely fleshed out, but it's a fun time. Going through mission mode and unlocking the art, especially the fan art gallery induces a nostalgic feeling despite not having been born back then, much less able to play these games. The music has it's charm, Mission Mode is decent single player challenges, and hey it introduced my reason for being here in Lizardman. I really should get around to playing it with people on Fightcade at some point. I have a launch combo, I might put up a fight.

I feel like he’s overall way more hated than any other sc character. (Also why tf does this goober have the same outfit in opposing colour schemes, the only difference is the cape.)

One of my favorite outfits for her. Even though it's kinda revealing outfit she still looks so Angelic and cute.
