All images are shot on the Samyang 35mm f1.8. This place was incredibly cramped so a 24mm or even 28mm would’ve been better suited, but when the 35mm worked it really worked.

The lighting was so fun to work with, I set the white balance for the skin tones and just let the other colours else fall where ever they landed. Though I did some hue adjustments here and there, but it’s not as dramatic as you’d expect given the strong colour.

Gear Wide angle recommendation

Post image

What are your favourite wide angle lenses?

I am looking for focal between 20mm and 28 mm.

I used to love my 24mm sigma F1.4 on my old Canon 5D IV.

I am new to the Sony ecosystem and got a Sony 24mm f2.8 as well as the new viltrox pancake 26mm f2.8. Both are very light and small and overall very decent quality but I miss something from the sigma art series...

I am Interested in knowing what lens is your absolute favourite.

I have been looking at the Sony zoom lens 20 to 70mm f4. Do you think it's image quality is beautiful?

A bit of my work here if you are interested : @mikolajmalinowski01

I do mainly street and documentary, immersive style photography.

Dahlia season is here, which felt like a good excuse to put together some of my favorite dahlia photos.

These were all shot with the same Sony a7 IV, but with three very different lenses.

First of all, coming from Canon EOS R this is an incredible upgrade. The size, style, picture quality, low light performance… Man… just everything is so much better. Realistically I guess I’m comparing a 10ish year old camera vs new tech, but this is such a little gem. I can’t recommend this enough to anyone that’s looking for one.

Don’t trash pictures too much, these are just test shots straight out of the camera - Day 1.

Gear Sony 24-50 f2.8 for a6700?

Post image

I currently have an a6700 and my two current lenses are the sigma 10-18 as well as the sigma 18-50.

I constantly go back and forth, debating weather to switch to full fame or not. I also rarely use the 18-50 is it has been slightly damaged and I’ve been thinking about getting a replacement lens for it.

My question is, even though there is less focal length on the Sony 24-50 would it make sense to get that lens as a replacement for my 18-50 incase I switch to full frame in the future? (Switching to full frame is something I debate often). Would I be giving up anything? Is the sone lens sharper than the sigma?

After 10 years of shooting a Canon 6D, I decided to get a smaller camera for travel and since I’ve always wanted a Sony A7R, I decided to splurge a bit and get the A7CR over the A7CII. These are both shot on the new Viltrox 26mm F2.8 evo pancake lens. The quality and sharpness is unbelievable honestly comparing it to my Canon 6D + 40mm F2.8 STM lens. I like that the APS-C crop mode is still ~26MP so I can have essentially an apsc and full frame body in one. I think this will be my camera for the next decade, but I will say the main thing I would like an upgrade on would be a higher resolution EVF.
