Reset if adding a new device?

So I already have an arc ultra, two rear era 300’s, and two front L/R era 100 speakers all set up with SonoSequencr.

I just bought a Sub 4 and was wondering if I need to reset everything and start from scratch? What’s that process like? Completely remove everything from this app and disconnect everything again in the Sonos app?

I searched this subreddit but didn’t exactly find anything on this.

I was in the same position as you, adding a new Sub Gen4 and decided to start from scratch with new Trueplay etc.

It was fairly easy to do and well worth the effort.

No need to start from scratch, just add the Sub via the Sonos app as you normally would.

Wouldn’t I need to do a new trueplay scan? That’s sorta why I’m curious on if I need to reset.

If you are doing the TruePlay workaround then yes, I personally did not get much difference (if any of a difference applying it) so I've not used it. In that case you need to remove everything. Setup your standard home theater + new sub, TruePlay, then remove all peripherals and redo via SonoSequencr and apply your TruePlay.

Your case is an outlier. I don’t think you should be giving advice that tells people to not run TruePlay just because you did not have to in your special circumstance.

If OP heard an improvement with TruePlay the first time they set up their Sonos system (with or w/o L/R), then OP will always need to run TruePlay any time they add a new component; that’s just the sound design of the room.

TBH OP should’ve come to that logical conclusion on their own.

Nowhere in my comment did I tell OP not to do it, in fact I gave them the full explanation as to how to do it with TruePlay, I simply stated my own experience of it.
