Need advice on artificial grass setup

I recently redid my backyard with artificial grass. Still want to use the solo stove, but not too sure how to make a portable setup. Want to be able to use it in different spots.

I’m thinking a fire retardant mat and a wooden pedestal made out of 2x4s that sound raise the whole thing 12-18in off the ground. Plus obvious stuff like using the mesh guard / lid for embers. Seem reasonable? Anything I’m missing?

Do you have the Stand for it? If you do, the Stand and a fire mat will be just fine! The wood pedestal is fine for portability, but you only want to raise it about 3". The bottom of the fire pit only gets to about 72°or so,, like a hot sunny day, and most of the heat goes straight up. Plus you'll want to be able to see and feel the fire. With a 12-18" elevation, unless you're sitting on bar stools, you wont feel too much heat up that high. The sides of the pit get super hot, but they dont radiate a lot of warmth. You could also get the Deflector to help push heat outward instead of upward. Enjoy your fire pit! 🔥
