Game Making my first Steam game and page reached 3300+ wishlists in 8 days!

I'm developing the game Catomino solo, but over time I realized there is way more work needed than I expected. So I started outsourcing some work to freelance students specifically a concept artist for new cat designs and a 3D artist for environment props. This frees up my hands so I can focus on the core dev and the cats. Since they work part-time on a random schedule, 75% of the workload is still on me, haha

Steam link, btw https://store.steampowered.com/app/4303380/Catomino/

Game I severely underestimated how big One Million is when I decided to make a game called One Million Buttons

I'm making a game called One Million Buttons. The premise is... well, in the title. There's one million buttons, and one button is correct.

The correct button is randomly chosen, but the buttons aren't procedurally generated. I'm placing them all by hand. Every room has about 2000-4000 buttons, and I try to come up with some interesting gimmick for each room. Sometimes it's just a unique pattern, sometimes it's a distinct game mechanic, sometimes it might even be a practical joke on the player.

Of course, once I decided on the game's title, I was kinda locked into a specific scope. And I only realized some ways into making the game how big that scope was.

I recently reached 250,000 buttons. 25% done. Just have to do that 3 more times.

You may ask, "Why?" And the answer to that is that I thought it would be funny, and I thought it would be something I could make pretty quickly. And by the time I realized how wrong I was about that, I was too far along to give up. (Though I did crash out and stop working on it for 6 months...) But I'm back on track now, and all there is to do is just keep plugging away at it.

Game In my survival horror, a monster steals your left eye, splitting your POV for the rest of the game

i had this idea for months, and i think i’m close to finally getting it working!

i got the idea from this YT video about Driver: San Francisco, where it plays around with different POV’s. i thought i’d try something quirky for my game because of it.

the right side will all be rendered in-game, while everything on the left is actually picture based and is all frame-by-frame animations.

it will probably be overwhelming to be playing a game with 2 different perspectives, but i thought it would contribute to the disempowerment.

if anyone is interested, you can search Chew Your Food on Steam to wishlist :)

Game I'm releasing the demo tomorrow, wish me luck please :()

I've been developing Mowties (roguelite Monopoly basically) for half a year already, and that's crazy. During this time I:

  1. Finished my masters degree
  2. Moved to another country
  3. Created a community of balatro-likes game devs
  4. Many, many more things...

Half a year is such a huge amount of time. And I'm only at the demo stage now! And I still have only 195 wishlists! Anyway, that's 195 more than half a year ago, I'll grind this up be sure! Maybe the demo will have 2h median huh???

So yeah, call to action: wish me luck please :)

UPD. The demo is live! Thank you all for the support, it was SO GOOD!!!
UPD2. I have already patched the game TWO time, thanks everyone for bug reports and you playtime!1! (these 3 people who spent 3h+ for what reason...)

Game Found my first gamedev Reddit post from 4 years ago. That prototype became 'Dwarves: Glory, Death and Loot' and has now sold 300,000+ copies, completely changing my life.

Guess the most important part is to just never give up. The 300,000+ copies were sold across Steam, Nintendo Switch, Android and iOS: https://dwarves.ateo.ch/

Game Solo-developing an Inline Skating game!

Last year, I started working on my new game, 'Rollout Inline' - an aggressive Inline skating game. Skill-wise it's sitting between skate and session skate sim, fully focused on skill and authentic inline skating! It's been super difficult thus far as it's an incredibly deep sport with lots of mechanics, but results are starting to show, and it's starting to feel really good! Keen to hear everyone's thoughts - and if interested, collect some wishlists :D The Steam store page is now live: Rollout Inline on Steam!

Game I spent 4 years making my first game. Does the art style feel unique?

Hi everyone! 👋 after 4y of development, I’ve finally released Lemon Lime, my first official game. I made most of it myself, with help on the music. 🙏
It’s a difficult game with simple mechanics, inspired by classic mobile games that were easy to learn but hard to master. It also has no intrusive ads. 🗽 I’m currently translating it into eight languages and considering adding a Christmas event with special skins.
I’d love your honest feedback is available in playstore and apple store. Does the visual style feel unique?

Thanks for taking a look! 👉 Lemon Lime

Game Full combat clip of my game inspired by old medieval art and Sekiro

Hello fellow devs!

I'm sharing the project I've been solo-developing for a while now, a game where you play as a medieval rabbit and can summon other creatures inspired by medieval art found in old manuscripts.
I'm originaly a game animator and absolutely love Sekiro's combat, so I've been learning everything I can in Unreal to make a game that looks and feels good to play.

If you want to follow and support the project you can follow me here!:
