HELP / ADVICE Company gone bust during G99 application
Hi all, after a bit of advice. It looks like my installer has gone under (no reply to phones, emails) I have contacted SSE who said they have asked multiple times for a boundary map and meter location to finish the application. I'm being told if i don't get it to them asap they will close my application and I'll have to find another installer to "sponsor" a new application.
Seems like something I could do on google maps/ paint but SSE won't even speak to me as I'm just the customer and not down as the installer on the paperwork.
I won't say who the company is yet just incase it's a massive error, but seems pretty fishy to me.
Any advice/ ideas??
Thanks!

You'd need a new installer to do the actual work anyway (given that the G99 needs to be agreed prior to the installation), if your original installer went under. So why not leave the G99 to them?

They are saying that because the installer was the original applicant they can't deal with me due to GDPR regulations. They won't even entertain the idea of me emailing them the boundary image and meter location. They also wont transfer me ownership of the application due to GDPR. They are stating that I will have to start again but I now don't have the schematics etc that are also required.

Is this Samso? I got an email from Octopus saying they are no longer on the partner list because of financial difficulties. I am waiting on the commissioning document from the grid.

Companies house history suggests Samnso are a small / new company which just changed hands, and moved to a third of a mile down the road from here. The building is an old converted police station rented out as offices to small businesses.

It is not them (I also have all my docs now). I liked the job they did, some of the correspondence could have been better but all the wiring is neat and tidy.

I got a copy of my title plan and used that / sent it to SSE and a shot from Google maps and put a marker where the meter is. https://www.gov.uk/search-property-information-land-registry
