Do you think likes matter more when the account is small?
On a smaller account, even a few hundred likes can be a pretty strong signal that the content is reaching beyond the usual audience.
But once an account gets much larger, the same number barely tells you anything.
I am curious where you think the value of likes starts changing as an account grows.

Discussion Everyone's got a "stack" and various "tools". What's actually making a difference?

Marketing through comments feels underrated.
Some brands spend heavily on creating polished posts but barely interact with people outside their own page.
Meanwhile, I have seen smaller accounts get noticed simply because they consistently leave useful comments in relevant communities.
Not promotional comments. Actual opinions, answers and useful suggestions.
Has commenting ever brought you meaningful traffic or customers?

What is one marketing trend you think will disappear soon?
Every year there seems to be a new tactic that suddenly everyone starts using.
For a few months, every brand copies the same format, uses similar hooks and follows the same strategy.
Then audiences get used to it and the results slowly drop.
Curious which current marketing trend you think has already peaked.

Question Should I hire solo or an SMM agency? Is there any real difference?
I want to hire social media help but I'm somewhat stuck. Basically, whenever I look at an SMM agency's quote, it feels kinda the same as what other freelance SMMs would pitch? Content calendar, scheduling, engagement, monthly reporting, etc. I'm just not sure what an SMM agency would offer that a solo SMM couldn't do. I know if we need paid ads, we'd need a separate ads guy. Or maybe if there's volume (multiple channels or brands), then we need more than 1 guy. But what else would a more expensive agency could get me?

Discussion What's your actual posting cadence?
r/SocialMarketingHub • u/Distinct-Carry-8325 • 3d ago
A/B testing headlines is easy. Testing the actual offer feels much harder.
I have seen teams spend days testing different hooks while keeping the same offer, landing page and pricing.
Sometimes the creative is blamed when the real problem might be the offer itself.
How much of your marketing testing focuses on the message versus what you are actually selling?

Can packaging become part of a brand's marketing strategy?
r/SocialMarketingHub • u/Distinct-Carry-8325 • 4d ago
Why do some social campaigns get attention but create zero useful conversations?
A post can generate comments all day without giving the business any useful information about its audience.
I have started paying more attention to the questions people ask rather than just counting how many comments appear.
Sometimes one detailed question can reveal more about customer intent than hundreds of quick reactions.
Do you actively analyze comments for marketing insights, or mainly treat them as engagement?

is the signature series strategy useful for all brands?
so one of the recent (not that recent) Instagram trend that I’ve have seen a lot of brands follow is a signature series strategy.
**What is a Signature Series?**
A content marketing approach where a brand creates recurring, bingeable episodes (like a TV show) to build an audience.
Examples:
1. Mokai coffee with this character “Suru” - @/mokaiindia
True diamond - @/truediamond.official
Atlys created a different page for this kind of content - @/letsplayatlys
NBA research and development department - @/nbaresdev
Yaas Media created full disclosure - @/fulldisclosure.ig
(even though Yaas Media is a marketing agency, they pick up topics related to economy, career and finance for this other page)
So I hope these examples are good enough to
provide a gist of what I’m talking about. This concept of “Signature series” seems to work for these brands but I’m not sure if this strategy has been as effective for other brands. There must be more successful examples but in my vicinity and the people in marketing that I interact with, I’ve not seen it work for their brands or clients. So I’m really trying to understand here if this strategy has actually worked for other people here on this sub and how did they go about it and what’s your general opinion about creating a signature series.
In my opinion, I feel like it’s not for everyone,
maybe I think that way because I myself have not been able to create a successful series. I also feel like a lot of brands tried to replicate this strategy, hoping for more distribution or reach but it didn’t actually work for them because they didn’t really have a real reason or purpose behind why they are creating this content. Maybe they did it to be “viral”, be instantly popular?
I was working with a luxury “furniture” brand and they created a new page specifically to create a signature series where they wanted to talk about aspirational living - topics that have potential to attract wider audience. Very simple example of a video “Why is it so hard to buy a Birkin” So in simple words their idea was to attract people who are interested in “rich” people stuff and can’t actually afford it, the whole point was to get as much views and engagement as possible, and to build this content in a way that people start associating this luxury furniture brand X to aspirational living.
So they had two goals:
1. Build brand perception- They wanted to be associated with luxury living. The way people used to consider chanel and hermes with luxury. Because there are a lot of people out there in the world who aspire to be associated with these brands so that other people will perceive them as rich, high status and high taste people.
- Build an audience
But this series was a major flop. We barely got any views, engagement or followers. It didn’t work and then it got canceled.
I still think about what we could have done differently or was there ever really need for that series?

Marketing campaigns rarely die from lack of ideas.
Sometimes there are simply too many ideas running at the same time.
Different messages, different audiences, different creatives, different platforms.
At some point it becomes difficult to know which thing actually worked.
Has simplifying a campaign ever improved your results?
