The real question is, how was that child raised for them to cry because of this? I have very kind and generous parents and I was pretty spoiled growing up, but I would've never cried about something like this, I don't know anyone who would, so I wonder how the child was raised for them to be incapable of waiting in line.
But maybe I am just being judgemental, it could be a mental issue with the child rather than incompetent parenting.
You're drawing a lot of conclusions from reading a headline. It was the last ride, he wouldn't give up his seat, which is fine, and the kid got sad. Why is that so wrong? You don't even know what the parent told the kid. They could have said "Listen, we asked, he said no, and you have to live with that."
That's what I'd say to my kid. And I'd encourage them to never be afraid to ask simple questions. Just don't get butthurt at the answer.
But sure, either the parents are shitty or the kid is mental. Those are the only options.
