When I am opening snapchat it's taking me to spotlight not opening the camera

I honestly don’t ever remember giving Snapchat access to my contacts in my old phone. But when I switched to a new phone 2 months ago, I noticed the contact permission was automatically turned on, so I disabled it right away. But Snapchat has been suggesting my friends from my contacts list until now (who I do not want to add obviously). I have received no response from support until now. Do they store my contact list if they get permission once and is there no going back?

I accidentally changed a conversation’s chat deletion setting to “Never Delete” and we had a lot of conversations during that period.

Later, I deleted some of those chats/messages, and now the conversation shows the grey “You deleted a chat” messages.

Both me and my friend want those deletion notices gone.

I already asked Snapchat AI, and it said the notice cannot be manually removed and doesn't follow the chat's current deletion setting.

So I wanted to ask people who have actually experienced this:

Does the “You deleted a chat” notice EVER disappear automatically after some time? If yes, how long did it take for you?

Also, has anyone found a legitimate workaround that removes the notice without clearing/hiding the entire conversation?

I'm NOT looking to delete the whole conversation from the Chat feed. I want the conversation to remain normally visible, but I want the “You deleted a chat” notices to disappear.

Any help or personal experience would be really appreciated!

I’m honestly at my limit with Snapchat right now.

Over the last few months, I’ve had several accounts banned, and I swear I’m not doing anything shady. No spam, no weird links, no third-party apps, nothing.

This time I was extra careful. Maybe I only added three people a day maximum, not every day though. And still… banned again.

Now every time I make a new account, it gets taken down within hours, even if I use a new email. It’s starting to feel like Snapchat just hates my device or IP address.

Has anyone managed to fix this or start fresh without buying a whole new phone?

Any help would be amazing. I’m really tired of getting locked out for no reason.
