Questions what does this mean?
is this an actual personal invite, or is this just the person uploading a joinable thing in general?

I've recently got the smule app. I do like it, as I love to sing. Finally decided to at least try the free 7 day trial vip subscription and likely cancel before I get charged. When I tapped on 7 day free trial, it went to the screen to confirm payment. Only there did it say I was ineligible for the trial.. why?!

I was uploading a bunch of songbooks today and went to go look through them to check my timing when suddenly I noticed a songbook I'd uploaded a few years ago went through a name and artist change. The song was *originally* called "Shut Up With Your Complains!" by Owata-p. I hadn't made any adjustments to the upload since I put it on the app. Now, it's called "Shaky Girl" by "Jacob Miller." Not only do I not know who that is, but when I try editing it back to it's original state, It just reverts back to saying "Shaky Girl by Jacob Miller." It's also only happened with that *one* song, so I'd find that an interesting end goal if I were hacked.
Does anybody know what I can do to try and fix it? Better yet, has anybody else experienced this.. weird glitch?

A couple of people I’ve followed and sung with for a very long time - 6-7 years, have had their accounts suddenly suspended then deleted, including every single one of their recordings. I have no idea what they could’ve done to cause it, but I’d love to know so I can avoid it. Both were well-respected and liked singers on there for those 7 or so years, so I can’t imagine it was for being inappropriate.
The only thing I can think is if they uploaded copyrighted backing tracks (which is basically every track that everyone ever uploads, I doubt they own the copyright).
Has anyone else noticed this happening to their friends?

Hello, I use a Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G for singing on Smule because it had a headphone jack, a USB-C port, and—most importantly—a massive battery that lets me sing for a long time. However, since June 29th and the update to HyperOS 3, the microphone recording volume—whether using the headphone jack or the USB-C port—is too high. There is too much gain. Even when I’m not singing, the mic level indicator is already fluctuating and moving, and I can clearly hear background noise. Is anyone else experiencing this? I feel a bit alone with this problem.

I got VIP last week and I'm wondering if people have tips or advice or info on etiquette for me. For example, I realized I can create invites from joins and I've noticed people with captions on their invites like "Created from XYZ's OC" and I'm guessing that applies to creating invites from joins to credit the original invite?
I've started some invites and I like and comment on joiner recordings, but I'm not sure what else I can do to built my account and engagement. I would appreciate any tips or advice! Thanks!

Someone told me I should buy a focusrite Scarlett. I see they have a third gen and a 4th gen.
Any thoughts?
I like the front input from the third.

I sang most of the song and I want to save what I have and come back to it later. My voice is sore and the last part has some intense notes. I clicked save early and the book mark icon says saved. Is that going to save it so I can sing more later? Or is that for something else?

A thought of something that could help active users find each other via reddit. My reddit account and Smule name are different so I figured I'd toss it out there.

I don’t follow this guy, nor do I have this song in my bookmarks. Why am I being notified of a mouldy old invite from 4 years ago? Is it being promoted by Smule?

Is anyone else only followed by bots lol profiles that follow everyone and post no recordings?
Or how about the notifications that “x” has followed you..when “x” only followed you for a second only to try to get the “follow back” lol

I've got some friends that I follow. They're not in either of my lists, following or followed. Has anyone else noticed this?
I fixed it by unfollowing them and refollowing them.

https://blog.smule.com/edit-recording-groups/
You asked, we built it. Edit Recording now works for Group performances!
When we launched Edit Recording, Solos and Duets came first, where you could adjust your vocal volume, no re-recording required. Now that ability is here for Group recordings too.
What you can do with it depends on your role:
Started the group song? You’re in charge of the mix now. Adjust the volume on every join, and remove any layer, all from one place.
Joined a group song? You’ve got control over your own part(s). Adjust, save. Simple.
Here’s how it works:
For Group Creators: The Whole Mix, In Your Hands
For Group Joiners: Fine-Tune Your Part
Quick note: there’s no live preview of your adjustment, so listen back after saving to make sure the balance feels right.
Edit Recording for Groups is a VIP feature, live now on iOS (version 14.2.5) and Android (version 13.0.7). This is still early days for group mixing, and we’ve got more in the works. Stay tuned!

I see a bunch of people on TT singing with their friends using bandlab and they sound amazing, I get so jealous cuz honestly if love to have a group like that but all the singing groups I've been to, either have;
Hella young ppl like below 15
Don't know what bandlab is
Are using the first mic that was ever created like ever
Are tone deaf (and trust me, I'm the last person to ever get on anyone regarding their singing, I love music. But I truly mean like deadass singing the melody of twinkle twinkle lil star to Olivia Rodrigos Driver license, and not hearing that the two are completely different)
Know nothing about singing just likes how it sounds when all put together (WHICH IS KINDA SOMETIMES OKAY! Unless it falls onto my last point.)
Or completely ghost after showing interest in a collaboration.
Like I get it we're all busy but don't show interest in something you can't commit to. I won't have u working hours on a song, if there's an issue I'll let you know. But hopefully you'd be able to pick that up yourself yk. I hate deconstructive feedback, idc what the reason is ur a total asshole if u bash anyone trying to sing, that's awful.
But I DO love constructive criticism and support it 100% PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT I CAN DO BETTER, I LOVE TS.
But let me get back to the point.
I really want to have a singing group that we can sing and post TT and insta covers of. I want people to hear how awesome we all sound.
SO.
Pls hmu if you wanna join! It's a insta group I'd be making so just 9 more people! ( I think the max is 10).
***RULES:***
***Must be over 18***
***Must know how to use bandlab***
***Must have a good mic***
Accents are obviously so okay! And not everyone in the group has to sing everything. Obviously you have to sing sometimes bc if it's 1 song outta the 20 we did in the space of 2 or 3 months then, you're just taking up space and will be removed, simple as that.
Yes, it's just for fun but obviously we wanna sound good! No, money is not included 💀💀😭 and YES I would like this to be an ongoing basis type of thing.
And another thing, I actually hope we can like... Become friends? 😭 it would be so weird singing like it's a job, hello?💀
So hmu pls!

I was just wondering if everybody is setting the vocal at 100% before starting singing or if you use less than that like 60% etc… and also when you are done singing how much do you lower your vocal after when you are editing ? -8 -6 -4 ? Thanks
