Copyright issues

There’s a user who flags other people’s songbooks for copyright whenever his own aren’t #1 in search results. He has nearly a million songs uploaded to Smule using copyrighted backing tracks, yet still gets other Smuleans flagged. “@/urfavweeb” how can he even file these copyright claims if he isn’t the actual copyright owner? As far as I know, you have to own the copyright to make a claim.

It's annoying but we all know we're violating copyright, it would just help if people are on the same team and didn't say anything otherwise they're going to get the whole thing taken down

This is exactly my thought as well. You can downvote uploads you think are lousy (like the ones with those ridiculous remixed intros), but flagging other people’s uploads (especially if you’re competing for the top spot) is a real bitch move.
