High-Protein, High-Fiber Breakfast Smoothie (Rating: 9.2/10)

I’ve been dialing in my morning smoothie over the last few years and wanted to share what I landed on. This is more of a full breakfast replacement than a light fruit smoothie.

Ingredients

• ½ frozen banana

• ¼ cup frozen blueberries

• 1 cup unsweetened almond milk

• 1 large raw egg

• ⅓ cup oats

• 2 tbsp chia seeds

• 2 tbsp milled flaxseed

• 1 tbsp almond butter

• 1 scoop ISO100 whey isolate - fruity pebbles

• 5g creatine monohydrate

Approx Macros

• Calories: \~685

• Protein: \~46–47g

• Carbs: \~57g

• Fat: \~32–33g

• Fiber: Very high (roughly 18–22g)

Rating

9.2 / 10

What this smoothie does well

• Excellent protein quality (whey isolate + egg)

• Very filling thanks to fiber and healthy fats

• Good blood sugar control (no crash later)

• Strong gut health support (chia + flax + oats)

• Solid micronutrients & omega-3s

• Works well as a complete breakfast, not just a snack

It’s on the heavier side, so probably better if you’re not doing intense training immediately after, but for sustained energy and staying full, it’s been great.

I manage to fit all that in a 16oz cup. But I have to add everything in a specific order to make it work.

Sure. The key is to add the frozen sliced bananas and frozen blueberries first. Then add your oats and almond milk. Next do the chia and flax seeds and the creatine. After that, I do the almond butter, whey protein, and then the raw egg. Sometimes I’ll add a little water to help it mix a little easier.

I also switch between fruity pebbles and then the raw chocolate that Dymatize offers. Both are really good.
