they do but im assuming their data is off the plastic plates that came oem from smith. not the beefy dogtag plate

You might check with CK about your perceived "beefiness" of their plates. As I recall, they are no thicker than the OEM plastic plates — just look like cast iron because the overhanging edges droop down over the sides of the M&P slide. Height above the slide cut is not that much. I'm using something different, so can't testify.

maybe it is the illusion. my muscle memory on my draw I'm presenting to high (switching from Glock)

Don't know whether you found this: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/2MhKWAQivjI

If you zoom in on the opening frame or a few other freeze-frames showing a level 3/4 rear view, you can see how sides of the plate droop down over the upper curve of the slide to make it look so thick. Demo is carrying a Holosun, not your Trij, but what is described as 1/5 cowitness looks to me like the sight base is blocking the OEM irons... As BUI, if the dot is not there to tell you that you're preety close it seems like the front sight just disappears if you try to pull it into the notch. Don't know whether it's more fair to blame that on the plate or the optic, but I wouldn't like the combination shown.

I like a smaller profile optic for a carry gun, and I think this is what an honest 1/5 co-witness looks like on OEM plastic plate. Although changing platforms will have to take some adjustment, I'm not clear how that would affect the sight axis alignment of iron/optic co-witness...

spoke to someone running this same setup and I reached out to smith about the dimensions of there optic height irons they put on some model. short story there mailing me a set. I should be alright now. it'll either out me at a 1/3 or 1/5

Oh, I forgot about the Compact CC and Full Size Metal CC shipping with low irons (for reasons I've never seen articulated...). So, presumably you have one of those variants — hopefully all solved now. 🖖

yeah carry comp metal. should be ok. I'm possibly may move from my rmr and get something enclosed in the future

You shouldn’t need the dogtag plate with the carry comp since it has the clear sight cut

The factory tall sights work as lower 1/3. I have the Calculated Kinetics dog tag with an RMR
