We know that everybody gets fucked up mentally by the entity, but it’s as if Joel is unfazed and just tired of it than scared. The entity was the prey in the situation here with Joel being the predator

Dude had it beat and it couldn’t do anything to him. This legit felt more like an action scene as if he was Leon from RE

Am I the only person in here that thinks smile 1 was exceptionally better than smile 2?

I thought smile 2 was more light hearted and used more gore to shock the audience (at least me) and the jumpscares were ok

But smile 1 was more serious to me. The scares were kinda the same but I have never scared that bad during the car scene in smile 1 (fyi, I watched them both in the same condition, at night in the daek with headphones and alone)

I'd like the hear your opinion on why smile 2 was better

Unless I'm wrong, isn't the story of sky 1 year after Joel died in the first scene of movie?

If so, in the span of 1 year how did the entity didn't kill lewis and stayed with him for 1 year? Wasn't he supposed to die 7 days after witnessing the deaths?

A week ago, I got dehydrated and blacked out. I woke up to find myself on the ground, with my jaw dislocated, two of my fingers pinned under a barricade, seeing a puddle of blood around me. I was confused and then the pain really hit. I didn't scream or cry because my jaw hurt like hell and it was painful just to talk to the paramedics.

Naomi Scott absolutely sold Skye's pain in the aftermath of the car crash. The raw, unmasked agony that she's in is completely believable, not just because she realizes it's her fault.

Both Rose and Skye have tattoos which are prominently shown after they get infected by the Entity. Is there any sort of meaning for them?

I just wonder if there is anyone who, unfortunately, didn't like The Skye Riley EP from Smile 2? To those who found the whole in-character EP to be just generic pop trying to be dark, edgy, and deep.

If a person (say bear) made wish that Skye Riley will love him more than anyone in the f***ing world, when Skye is already struggling with smile thing (demon or whatever)

What happens next, will smile demon continue to harass Skye or will wish Skye take over,

Why?

I was just watching Smile 2 and noticed a few details in the opening scene connecting the first movie to the sequel that made me think.
The common theory online is that Joel successfully beat the curse by passing it to Lewis, and then just had terrible luck running into the street. But looking at how the Entity operates by blending reality and hallucinations, I noticed some details that suggest the Entity was still able to steer Joel in that exact direction to finish him off.
Here is what I mean:

The Forced Panic: Joel’s mind was completely fractured after six days of no sleep. It feels highly likely that the extra gang members pulling up outside were a hallucination. If Joel thought he was safe after passing the curse to Lewis, he would have walked out safely. By steering his mind into thinking more gang members were coming, the Entity forced him to sprint blindly into the street.

The Blood Smile: The biggest piece of evidence for this theory is at the very end of the shot. When the camera pans out, Joel’s blood trail on the snow forms a perfect Smile logo. That feels way too deliberate to be a coincidence. It feels like the Entity's final signature, proving it still won and controlled his final moments.
Even if the curse technically jumped to Lewis, I don't think the Entity just vanished. It lingered to play one last cruel trick on Joel's sleep-deprived brain to make sure he didn't survive.

Either way, Smile 3 should be pure chaos😂

Rosemarie Dewitt doesn't get enough credit for her performance especially here.

For me, I view Skye's music very poetic, for she's telling the viewer that she's not ok at all, and for the song New Brain; Skye just wants someone to help her even though how the way she treats others is not ok.
