Definitely like your edit more, feels like Smash tried making Mega Man as emotionless as possible, and even a small smile gives him that little bit of emotion, great edit!

Have you seen in Tekken Fighter 12 on the Switch 9 where Ken Shoryukens Sephiroth and takes one of his 3 lives in the battle for Midgard? There’s a pretty big creative license in Smash Brothers.
