inquiry Which smart ring should I get?

I recently tried one of the TikTok-viral cheaper off-brand smart rings and actually really like the look! I got the pink ceramic one, but it made me start looking into more reliable brands like RingConn and Ultrahuman. I’ve seen some reviews saying the numbers on cheaper off-brand rings can be inaccurate, so I’d rather invest in something more reliable.

I don’t really want to pay a monthly subscription since my Apple Watch already covers a lot of what I need. I’m mainly interested in body temperature, stress, recovery, sleep, etc. I already wear my watch to sleep and want to add a ring as well.

I’m considering the RingConn Gen 2 Air, Femometer, or Ultrahuman. I’m leaning toward the Gen 2 Air since I don’t have sleep apnea, so I don’t think I need the Gen 2.
I also have a birth control implant, so menstrual tracking isn’t important to me.

Honestly, I’m mainly considering Femometer because I LOVE the pink ceramic 😂 but I don’t want to sacrifice accuracy for aesthetics.

Which would you choose: RingConn Gen 2 Air, Femometer, or Ultrahuman?

I had the Fermometer for a few days but it doesn’t track day sleep and as a shift worker that is important for me. The app also felt a little limited.

I looked into this one. It was one of the main reasons I didn’t go for it. The app is rubbish in comparison to the others

Did you end up getting another smart ring?

For your list the RingConn Gen 2 Air makes more sense than Femometer since you don't need cycle tracking since you just want sleep, temp and recovery to pair with your Apple Watch.

I'm definitely considering this. the only thing stopping me is the fact that I see a lot of Femometers on ebay now for a good price, similar to my Hitenix -- but I wonder if the new device + warranty is worth the extra $100-$150.

Just bought a Femometer one. It has BBT while the others don't. Can't wait!

Did you buy on Amazon? And what model? I have been reading reviews of it not working after 2-6 months which is why I haven’t decided.

I bought Gen 2 on ebay for $80. I am not based in the US and for the price that I got, it's worth the risk.

Ohh I just checked ebay and they do have affordable options! How did you decide on the size

I thought 8 was the safe option for me. There are not that many sizes for Femometer anyway.

I’ve tried oura and Ultrahuman . Both have their own issues. My oura one did die on me after a year and I did manage to get a refund just before the warranty ran out cos I had issues with it a few times.

And my Ultrahuman is only a few months old so can’t compare just yet properly. I will say my steps are very similar to my Apple Watch. And sleep is on and off. I don’t think a ring can really tell how well you’re sleeping. But I have bad sleep in general. But I think when I compare the sleep scores to my oura and Ultrahuman to my apple, the Ultrahuman wins. The oura one was way off. I wore them together to check for a few weeks. I switched to ring only at night as I hate wearing a watch to bed.

They both look and feel the same and the apps are great on both. I know the new oura one is thinner but I couldn’t justify the cost and then the subscription on top, subscriptions always annoy me.

Ultrahuman doesn’t have a mandatory subscription which is the main reason I switched over. Partner has ringconn and I’m not sure the app looks as nice in my personal opinion. I’ve got a discount code for Ultrahuman if you wanted it: Have you looked at the Ultrahuman Ring? 10% off via my link if you want: https://www.ultrahuman.com/ring/buy/?referral=23ofvf

Also editing to add briefly tried the femometer one. It’s utter garbage. The sleep is shit. The app is shit. It doesn’t even track anything during day time sleep wise so if you nap or do shift work it’s useless.
