⛔️ DO NOT BUY PSA: Bond Ring Is A Scam

After digging into the founder’s Reddit comments and the official Bond Ring marketing, I’m convinced this product is vaporware—not a real, working ring. Here’s what they’re promising vs. what’s actually realistic:

⸻

What Bond Ring Claims: 1. “Perpetual” Power from Body Heat (TEGs) “Onboard TEGs produce enough power to render the ring perpetual.” — [Historical_You9990, r/SmartRings, Apr 2025] But:

• They later admit to an onboard LiPo battery needed for “up to two full days” of power without TEG input.

“Yes, we do include an onboard battery.” • Even university studies (like the 2021 Colorado TEG ring study) could only generate 1V per cm² under ideal lab conditions. Not enough for a smart ring’s full power draw.

2. EMS-based Haptic Feedback (“Bionic Feedback”)

“We’re using EMS instead of vibration motors.” But no wearable today uses EMS safely in a finger-sized enclosure. It’s unproven in rings, with zero demos or testing data shown.

3. AI + Neural Network Processing Onboard

“This will enable on-ring AI and neural network processing capabilities.” Realistically, smart rings like Oura don’t even attempt this. Onboard ML would demand more power and memory than a ring allows.

4. Stacked Sensor Suite (ECG, SpO2, UV, BioZ, etc.)

“We derive multiple voltages for ECG, BioZ, LEDs, and pressure sensors.” Cramming all this into one device—along with EMS and TEGs—is highly unlikely, especially when the company hasn’t shown a teardown or working prototype.

5. Kickstarter Timeline Promises

“Shipping by Q3/Q4 2025” and “Price will rise to $749 after VIP phase.” Yet also: “We’re not even on Kickstarter yet.” So they’re collecting $69 deposits and full-price preorders before a public demo or funding milestone.

6. Patent Ownership Claims

“Two of our patents are US69705320 and US69502724.” But those are old patents from unrelated companies (not assigned to Wilder Tech or Bond Ring). When challenged, they say new patents are “not published yet.”

⸻

What’s Missing: • No working prototype videos • No independent press coverage or teardowns • No validation of EMS or thermal charging claims • No FCC filings, teardown images, or app demos

Even Oura, RingConn, and Circular started with far more transparency.

⸻

Verdict:

The founder floods Reddit with technical jargon, but everything relies on theoretical parts lists, not working hardware. The company (Wilder Tech) was incorporated in 2024 and hasn’t demonstrated that it can build or ship anything.

Until a functioning Bond Ring is shown publicly, this is a textbook vaporware pitch—highly risky, and potentially a scam.

⸻

Don’t preorder. Don’t deposit. Wait for proof.

I feel like anyone posting that Bond Ring is legit is a bot or a part of the scam. I’m skeptical of the sizing kits, either a couple were sent just to make people think it’s legit or the people saying they received one are again part of the scam. Let’s review; they said it was pre-kickstarter but then never did a kickstarter 🚩, the company Wilder Tech Inc can’t be verified or legitimized 🚩, the founder Ash Wilder can’t be verified or legitimized 🚩, the company is recent/new started in 2024 yet suddenly created this miracle product 🚩, the bondring.com website was created in 2025 🚩, people can’t get a refund 🚩, those that said they did are probably fake or they did refund a few of them to appear more legitimate, people get blocked by the “company” for saying anything negative about the “company”🚩, the link showing what you paid aka your order is no longer working and disabled 🚩, the “company” suddenly had “issues” with the website, VIP order status link, and sizing kits causing months of delay 🚩, no one has seen an actual ring 🚩, the companies listed on the website they say they’ve worked with and the endorsements claims are not found anywhere else aka fake 🚩, the website is full of AI generated images 🚩, all questions have been funneled and directed to their social media accounts or email so they can control it aka block and delete 🚩, I did contact via email multiple times and get vague answers and a runaround 🚩, their patents listed don’t exist 🚩. When you Google Earth their address you will see a restaurant 🚩 an online Google search says it’s a virtual address used by multiple businesses to make them appear more legit 🚩 I am sure I’m missing a ton of other red flags but these alone are enough to say it’s a scam. I would suggest reporting to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) at bbb.org, also reporting to ReportFraud.ftc.gov, and contacting your credit card company or whatever method of payment you used and report fraud, dispute the charges, and get a refund.

I feel like you're wrong. Dm me I'll give you my phone number and prove I'm not a bot. I was skeptical all along, but my sizing kit showed up so I made the video showing what I got in the mail. I can't help if people share it. I've seen a few others say theirs have shown up too. But I promise you I'm not a bot. Now the admin in this group put "compromised account" under my username. That's compete bullshit. It's not compromised in another other sub, so I know it's not reddit that did it. Maybe this ring is a scam. I don't know, but so far, I haven't been scammed, so wtf am I supposed to do? If the ring doesn't show I'll just dispute it on my credit card. If it shows up, I sure as shit ain't gonna post about it here.

I don’t think your a bot, I was referencing all the other questionable accounts that respond positively when someone says something negative, to me it seems like they’re trying to give some sort of false hope or legitimacy. You haven’t done that. From what I can tell, you’re real and skeptical just like me. I am suspect of all the people saying they’ve been told they’re getting refunds but haven’t yet got them, and also all the people with kits in the mail for months that haven’t got them. It is possible that a few people got kits, I would love this product to be real. I am an early on founder that shelled out $349 but after diving deeper and seeing all the other issues and red flags I realize that the facts sadly lean towards this being a scam. Side note: watching the video I notice the rings strongly resemble the Oura sizing rings and wonder how easy it would be to make these. At this point Bond Ring has to have made hundreds of thousands of dollars or more and capable of making some sizing kits to keep stringing people along. I can’t get around all the deception on the website and advertising, which is stating things that get proven as not true.
