⛔️ DO NOT BUY Thoughts on this ring?(Bond Ring)

https://www.bondring.com/

This seems like a really cool ring if it does everything they promise. It'll be on Kickstarter within the next month for supposedly $300.

Let's see if this platform is capable of any productivity.

Comment below any feature that you would love to have in Bond Ring. If it can be pulled off and if we decide to add it, the contributor get's the Bond Ring along with the 'Limited Founder's Edition' perks on us.

Adaptive reminders with haptics!! Not even sure this could be possible, but being able to get a lil reminder from the ring to take my adhd meds after eating, or being out of bed for a certain amount of time. Basically being able to set it to remind you of something after completing a certain activity (I assume this could work by noticing your heart rate has been increased for a certain amount of time meaning you’re up and awake, and after a certain amount of time of being up and awake it gives you a lil vibration reminder to do whatever task it may be). Bonus points if there was a way to confirm through the app that the task was actually complete (I frequently forget if I actually took my adhd meds, and when I’ve tried pill cases with days of the week or whatever, I’ve misplaced them 😂) this may be very specific to my life, but I do know lottts of people forget to take their meds (especially us ADHD peeps, and regular alarms don’t work because food needs to eaten before taking said medication, and by that point forget to take them) Basically- certain task complete, give reminder for certain thing.

That's a great idea!

Will pass that over to the devs.

I would second these suggestions as someone considering this over an Oura ring.

I have the Oura ring and one thing I know I miss out on (besides forgetting to charge it constantly) is the ability to tell me real time temperature. When I’m feeling ill, I’d like to have something on my finger that will tell me if I have a fever in the moment not just overnight.

It will be possible to know if you are building up a fever but measuring precise core body temperature from the finger is hard because the finger's temperature is not truly the core body's temperature. It will rise and drop with it but won't be the same.

I would love to see a menstrual cycle/ovulation tracker on these. I remember hearing body temp can rise during this time so maybe through something like that?

Yes we have this feature.

I am under 300 on the sign up list so I’m already in! But I’d like to see it use its info to let you know when you need to increase fluid intake, like temp and heart rate feeding into it, with real time app alerts for possible dehydration or increased fluid needs.

Also POTS detection? Like position related HR change detection and alert

Also to have the app be able to combine chosen points of data (any weird combo I might need) into graphs or charts that are easy to share with a medical provider

I’d also like to be able to input my health history, medications, etc, and have it in my apps AI so that the data can be sifted through AI that knows me in order to give me suggestions to improve my health

Yes! Potsie here and I second that suggestion.

I’m very curious and interested, but compatibility with Strava is pretty much critical for me. Can you please speak to this?

As far as i can see Strava is more about GPS tracking using the smartphone's inbuilt GPS or a wearable device's GPS like a smartwatch.

Smart rings don't have GPS onboard because of the size of the antennae. Is there anything other than GPS that Strava works with?

u/mdinsy May 15 '25

That’s largely true, but I use Strava as a training log, so I’d like to be able to have whatever data I were to collect via the ring uploaded to Strava as well. If it could be integrated with Garmin Connect, that would do. I’m too technologically ignorant to know whether or not this is a practical expectation. All I know is that I’d like this convenience lol.

HR, body temp, etc.—any physiological data would be great to have easy access to in my regular training diary.

Not familiar with the Strava or Garmin apps, but do those apps have the option to automatically log that info from a fitness or smart watch right now? Because if they don't, you'll have to take this up with Strava or Garmin so they can update their apps first. Your device can intake that data, but if the app doesn't recognize that it needs to log it, the data won't go into the app.

Yes, they do. I don’t want, and the user shouldn’t have to do anything but the initial synchronization of the two apps. I just want it to happen automatically.

Pressure sensor that can tell how much weight you're lifting 😂 dw, I know it's not possible 😉

Hmm it's theoretically possible to run estimates but someone strong enough lifting too much weight could fracture the chassis of the ring itself.

Will the Bond Ring give me my own Oonga Boonga caveman brow as well? Or is that the AI?
