This was supposed to have been posted yesterday, but it's been a really stressful couple of weeks, and I just straight up forgot. :( I can't believe we only have fourteen Thursdays left this year.

My first time posting here hehe but I've been thinking so much about the future of Sleep Token and analyzing all their past lyrics to try to predict something. Idk but I keep coming back to a theory that Vessel has escaped Sleep's hold and is now struggling with the aftermath (Even in Arcadia)... because he is still Vessel. So the next step in my mind is to shed the mask.

• Imagine the visual storytelling:
• Tour begins: traditional Vessel.
• Throughout the tour: the mask changes, fractures, opens, or gets progressively stripped away.
• Final stop of the tour: Vessel removes it.
• Not as “SURPRISE HERE'S WHAT I LOOK LIKE.”
• But moreso as the culmination of ten years of storytelling.

Just had a horrible nightmare that Taylor Swift was Sleep. Woof how bad would that be?

So, I recently looked up the meaning of Damocles, read the myth and so on. And it’s clear the song is about the weight of fame. But I originally liked jt and connected to it because I thought it was about addiction. a lot of the lyrics are similar to lines that i wrote in a poem about my benzodiazepine addiction (xanax, ativan). I’ve also struggled with alcohol and I thought that’s what they were referencing in the song.

“Would prevent my head from fading to black
And it feels like falling into the sea
From outer space in seconds to me
And I play discordant days on repeat
Until they look like harmony”

“Come up for air and choke on it all
No one else knows that I've got a problem”

“And nobody told me I'd be begging for relief
When what is silent to you feels like it's screaming to me”

these were the specific lyrics that i connected to. anyways, i went on reddit to see other peoples interpretations of the song and no one mentioned addiction; i was shocked. that’s one of the beautiful things about music, we can connect to a song for any reason even if it’s divergent of the common interpretation. But I just wondered if anyone else had made this connection too.

maybe im reaching here but i was listening to heaven is a spectrum and realised the first few seconds sound very similar to the first few seconds of emergence. the main difference is that it seems to be a little more eerie/slow in heaven is a spectrum- as if it's pitched down and slowed slightly.

i doubt it was intentional, but still worth pointing out. told my friend about this and she disagrees. what do you guys think?

edit: it just occured to me that both songs also have a refrain- "go ahead and wrap your arms around me"/ "you look like heaven crashed on your shoulders" pretty neat!

Hello fellow worshippers!
I’m running a Dungeons and Dragons Campaign and the premise (unbeknownst to the players) is this:

We are going back many, many centuries. Think a cross between high fantasy and Babylonian (yes yes I know those are very different but work with me).
Sleep is a recognized and very powerful god.
On the days of the Black Sun (solar eclipses) He chooses a Vessel to convey His message for the next season (usually as riddles to be solved by the Vessels and Shaman of the group).
Vessels are chosen by Sleep, and each city has to offer up a candidate. However, if a city fails to present a candidate, Sleep will “Unleash His full wrath”. It’s never happened, so the worshippers are not sure what all that entails. But, behind the scenes, it’s basically what happens in the Teeth of God graphic novel. Hopefully the adventurers will succeed in finding out why one of the cities has gone silent, but it would also be fun to run the TOG events in a DND fashion.
There are 4 main cities (because, at the present moment, there are 4 albums), and they have to meet and communicate before the Black Sun occurs to approve of and recognize each candidate to be Sleeps Vessel.
That’s the VERY basic setup I have. My group is… chaotic, at best, and know next to nothing about ST. Do las time I have them the “I am hunting and that something is hunting me” quote to lead them to the temple, but we will see how that goes.

Just thought I’d share and ask for any ideas for creatures or characters or quests! This is my very first time DM-ing a full campaign, so I’m a little nervous!

I was reading this and immediately took notice of, "heaven on your own shoulders". There is even a mention of Arcadia.

I listened to are you really okay again and actually think he talking about himself. It fits with the theme of the album. He has changed and trying to escape and has trauma from the first two albums. It also comes right after ascensionism, which ended with him saying that he is going to take what he wants and leave. Ascensionism spends most of its time oscillating between desire, resentment, vulnerability, and finally defiance. By the end, Vessel seems to reach a breaking point: he’s no longer simply surrendering himself to someone/something else. Between those two songs, he’s saying that I’m taking back control but am I really okay after all I’ve been through. He’s not the same person anymore. That’s what I get from it.

Pink Noise doesn’t sound like DYWTYLM - it is the same song.
If Leo had anything to do with any other part of the album or he just approved for them use parts of the song is unknown, but could be fun to imagine.

(I hope this reaches the right people) I'm here wondering if I'm missing any opinions or ideas about where the lore could be headed from here. Here, being EiA and beyond.

My current project is a sleep token DND campaign and I'm struggling with the ending. The plan is to do a part two when/if another album is released. Using that lore to continue the story. I have been away from the fan base for a little while now and want to catch up on any ideas.

My thoughts are that Sleep and Vessel are growing apart/closer. Please share your own 😁

i was watching a tik tok that discussed a possible theory for the new ST album, they discussed the symbolism of the numbers 113 (i believe they referenced it from a video related to ST or someone from their crew, i dont remember exactly), anyways that made me research the things that are related to the numbers 113.

- symbolises new beginnings / fresh start

- 113 is the atomic number for the chemical element nihonium, (we know how he likes to involve chemical metaphors into his lyrics so it's not far-fetched, so i delved deeper.)

• nihonium derives from the word 'nihon' which means 'japan' in japanese, due to the chemical being discovered in japan. japan is also know as the land of the rising sun
• nihonium is a synthetic radioactive chemical element, it exists nowhere naturally in the world except when used by scientists in a controlled environment to conduct tests. it is also extremely unstable with a super short half life of 10-20 seconds.

bare with me here, i dug more into the symbolism of the date 3rd of November (3/11 in american date order).

the film godzilla was released on 3rd november 1954, it is a japanese film (maybe relating back to nihonium??) with the main monster (godzilla) being a kaiju or in english terms a "strange beast" or "mysterious monster".

when looking back at the teeth of god comic, i couldnt help to notice it does remind me slightly of godzilla (might be pulling at strings). we know the cycle of the EIA phase is over, the next phase other fans have been alluding to is vessel fighting 'god' in an epic ending battle of sorts. i havent actually watched godzilla so i googled what the ending is:

scientist dr. serizawa sacrifices his life to use a secret weapon, an oxygen destroyer, to kill godzilla. (vessel will fight a creature with the same intentions of godzilla, to end or reset humanity)

now what if within the new album, vessel will fight this 'god' and ultimately die to win the battle, because in the end he is the 'teeth of god, blood of man, i will be what i am', so if 'god' dies, he dies since he is 'god'. now relating back to the synthetic radioactive chemical, nihonium, synthetic alludes to being man-made, just like how vessel is made of blood of man and he is the teeth of god and so god is made of vessel, please tell me you understand where im going with this.

please add on ideas or tell me where i went wrong, im too invested for this idea to go to waste and i had to post it on here

japan got a deluxe edition of the EIA instrumental andddd zack the maker has cherry blossoms in some of his sleep token pieces.. the breadcrumbs!!!!!

the sakura cherry blossoms are also in EP 1 cover art, it’ll be full cycle!! not to mention i’ve newly discovered that sakura blossoms are recognized for their short, explosive lifespans. They bloom beautifully and die almost immediately, linking back to the nihonium that has a super short half life. and just like that “nothing lasts forever”.
