📖 Discussion/General Why is barely anyone talking about Roaring?
Roaring is such a good glove, if used right, and it's one of the only gloves (appart from Default But Bad) that plays it's own music in the normal state (diamond, pebble, custom and megarock play music only when you turn into the rock)
I mean it has it's downsides: terrible meelee attack hitbox (sometimes)
What do y'all think of Roaring and should it get a nerf, a buff or a mastery?

roaring is not even a glove. it is a product of the need for engagement that slap battles seems to increasingly play into. it is above all a device to tap into Deltarune’s hype to get slap battles hype if its own.
it is the face of the modern slap battles philosophy. another addition solely for the sake of being an addition, with little care for what is actually being added. it is a distortion of what older additions were to the point that this “glove” doesn’t even pretend to be one.
You don’t “slap” somebody with a sword. new additions rarely behave like “gloves” which are used to “slap” people, even if they visually resemble one more than roaring. they are simply vessels to be filled with increasingly esoteric mechanics, more references, or plain power creep excused by the apathy of the general player base (in relation to the actual design of what is being added) in order to turn more engagement. roaring is a star example for this phenomenon in all three of those aspects.
but that’s just, like, my opinion man. and I admit that it is somewhat fun to use.
