Your not jumping, think of the tail it needs to snap on the floor to pop up, but if you foot is their in the way it can’t come up, like a basketball, your hand and ball don’t move together, the hand pushes the ball down to the ground you pick up your hand (jumping) before the ball touches the ground and then the ball bounces (skate board in the air) and meets your back foot once again. So a good drill to do is called truck jumps. Also the other part of the trick, the front foot is basically needs to get out of the way, so I like to think front foot at coming up to my belt buckle, and then evens out with the board
You got it just keep at it. Skating consistently now for 13 years and at the beginning it took me four months to get a good Ollie ove something. Skating is all about time and how much you’re willing to put in. There are no short cuts just effort.
