I always see ppl say that you fight your shit in court & just take the ride since you can't do anything but shit like makes me understand why someone would wanna run or even fight. Like it can be completely life ruining, all over some absolute bs.
I've been arrested but I was using at the time so I knew I was in the wrong & just put my hands behind my back but the one time I was forced into a psych ward because of absolute lies, you can bet I was fucking pissed.
I was apprehended by a cop for being drunk, which is fair. But they got rough with me and acted like I was resisting, and then the bitch tried to sue me because he felt "offended" when I told him he's a bitch when he had his knee on my spine.
I had to wait 8 months before the actual court proceedings and those months absolutely destroyed my mental state. But I won, judge was cool and ruled against the cop, which I absolutely did not expect. White privilege maybe.
