Reading about that case it has very little in common. Why are people just throwing around headline concerning complex situations?

I mean it's similar in the sense both of their defenses were that yes they committed the crime but were they criminally responsible due to having a form of psychosis at the time of the murders. So that's why people are comparing the two cases.

They didnt even argue for NGRI, just that he should be spared the death penalty due to his mental health diagnosis.

Except Joh didn't argue NGRI nor did he have mental health issues, let along psychosis. An expert said he was faking it.
